Damaged Air Filter by
[email protected]
I purchased a used BMW about six months ago from a BMW dealer. I have
had problems with exhaust related items and have spent a lot of money
fixing it.
The car repair people (they have an excellent reputation) showed me
the air filter in the car: it was improperly installed and bent so
that the...

Brake noise by
grinder
I have a 2005 Z4 which I drive a couple times a week. When backing up I
notice the breaks make a loud grinding noise as they are applied and
released (car moving slightly with breaks applied).
Any ideas?

Replacement driver seat for 1990 E30 318is by
James[_11_]
Hi.
My driver seat is showing its age. My service guy said I would have
problems fixing it.
Can they be resprung or re-padded?
Alternately, is there a driver seat from a later model that will fit on the
same rails?
Worst case - is there a seat from an alternative manufacturer that will fit?
TIA

Fuel return line by
Yvan@office
I posted here few times about the problems with my Pierburg 1B2
carburetor ('87 316).
I now have Weber 32 ADF that I am about to fit in the place of 1B2, and
I noticed that Weber has fuel return connection. Pierburg does not have
one.
Can I just block this connection, or do I have to make fuel...

1989 BMW 325i, Check Engine sign, engine hesitation: what is it? by
Nancy
This has never before happened with this car; the car was hesitating
very badly today after driving about 10 miles, and although it got a
little better the rest of the day, it still hesitates a little from
time to time, and the check engine sign comes on for a second, then
goes away - comes on for...

E46 shudder by

I have a 2003 E46 320CI M Sport coupe. Every now and then a strange
occurance comes on. It is difficult to know where to start to look for
the problem. I can brake change down and accelerate and sometimes the
car then starts to jerk with what appears to be a misfire, the only
way to clear it is to...
