Honda Civic EX vs Mazda3 S by
nash123
Hello,
I am an extremely happy owner of a 1999 Civic EX 2dr @70K miles. I am
thinking about getting a four door car since we just had a son. I know
that I want to get a new 2005 4 door Civic EX to replace the old one,
but I also looked at Mazda3 S and liked the specs and the looks (have
not test...

No charge, no speedo by
Spdloader
Hi, I'm new to the group, but my daughter has a Honda now so I'll be
lurking.
I didn't find anything on this exact problem in a search so:
Vehicle is a 1998 Civic DX 5spd.
Dead battery prompted a test of the alternator, which wasn't charging at
all.
Replaced alternator, and externally charged...

Civic Timing Belt Saga - Continued by
disallow
Hi there,
So here I am, back again. Hat in hand, looking for ideas,
or at least some reassurance that I didn't totally f&*(ck
up my poor little 98 civic LX (D16Y7).
Since the timing belt job, I have gone thru 1 tank of
fuel. I filled up on Friday, and have driven 100kms and
gone thru almost 1/4...

All the oil ran out of my new 2007 CR-V !! by
Chuck Connell
I have a one-month old 07 CRV with about 900 miles. Last night I noticed
the oil light blinking randomly. I checked the oil level as soon as I got
home, just a couple miles later. It was down, so I added a quart. I did
another short errand (5 miles), then checked the oil again. Still low, so I...

mounted wrong size tires by
DC
In my stupidity, I told the shop that I had a 2000 Civic when I actually
have a 2001 (I got mixed up because I bought the car in 2000). Their
computers automatically look up what size tires they are according to the
year and model, and so they mounted a P185/65R14. It should have been a
P185/70R14....

Civic Hybrid -- gas/electric usage by
Jeff
Does software control the switching of the power source between
gasoline and the battery pack? Or is it more of a mechanical element
that controls it?
Is it possible for Honda mechanics to "adjust" how much battery power
is getting used? I'm happy with my 2005 Hybrid, but I'd like to
average...

Prelude starting by
Hamish
My son has just bought a 1998 Honda Prelude 2.0i with 50000 miles and full
Honda service history. His problem is that when the engine is warm, and he
tries to start it, the starter motor turns the engine, the engine seems to
fire and then the starter motor stops, and the engine then quickly...

2003 CR-V EX-L 184000km (Appx 114000 miles)
I recently had a problem with my engine light coming on. The problem

Torque Wrench by
Seraph
Folks,
I am considering buying a digitorque wrench and was wondering if there
are any opinions about this tool. I just looked at one of these for
work on my Honda. Craftsman is the only one I know that makes this
type of torque wrench. Anyway, I wasn't too sure about the build of
this tool since...

93 Honda Civic Mileage gone bad by
Danny Beardsley
I recently started getting very low milage in my 1993 Civic EX (1.6 L
SOHC VTEC).
Previously I've seen between 32 and 38 (34 AVG.)
Now I'm getting about 25 MPG (it has steadily declined the last three
tanks).
Things I have checked/replaced:
* Replaced Plugs and gapped them properly (The old ones...

Please visit my brand new Xenon HID Showcase Website today...
Back in the late 1990's, I began to see these headlights on premium cars
that stood out from the rest. I was intrigued by them, but it wasn't until
after I drove a 2000 Acura 3.5RL with Xenon HID lighting, I was hooked!
Night became as...

I don't know if anyone remembers the other post I had, but we are still
