Recycle Brake Rotors? by
Jeff Strickland
Do brake rotors have scrap value?
I am not positive, but I'm thinking I took some rotors to my metal recycler
and he didn't want them. I know I took something down there that he didn't
want, but I can't remember what it was -- rotors are the only thing that I
would have laying around though ...

Pinion angle, revisited... by
Jerry Bransford[_2_]
Making sure you know that the pinion shaft needs to be pointed
directly
at the t-case output shaft. Just make sure its angle is not above the
driveshaft either. 1-2 degrees under that of the driveshaft's angle is
a
good angle to aim at to counteract the minor effects of axlewrap on a
coil...

When moving along at highway speeds or at lower speeds, does anyone

99 XJ--BEST SOURCE FOR LOCK ACTUATORS??? by
bw-fl
Need to replace both of the left-side door lock actuators in my 99
Cherokee Classic. Dealer wants $80.00 each, but found some online for
$32 to $35 each. Anyone found a good source for these, either new or
used? Any downside to buying used, e.g., on eBay? Thanks!!!

97 ZJ 5.2L -- Light Rattle at Idle --Solved by
jamest
Success!!
After hunting for a month, stethoscope in hand and replacing a few
parts , it was the water pump.
Once I had the pump off you could see it had been leaking.
I had a devil of a time getting the heater return tube to seal
properly.-- why this isn't a hose I'll never know.
I dont know if...

97 ZJ Rear Door Speakers - Infinity 6012i Replacments by
jamest
I picked up a pair of these. I can use the plastic adapter ring for
mounting them.
My question is :
Is there a 'smart' way to go about wiring them that preservers the OEM
plug/jack hardware?
thx,
james

REGEARING FROM 3.07 TO EITHER 3.73 OR 4.11 by
Tracie
I have posted this once today, but for some reason it did not post.
If anyone finds it, sorry for the duplicate post.
Anyhoo, I definitely want to re-gear but I am not sure if the 3.73 or
the 4.11 ratio would be better for me. I currently have 31" BFG All
Terrain T/A KOs, but will definitely...

Where to mount an auxillary battery. by
Kate
The guy that gave me the winch (the EX Mr. Kate) said it drew allot of amps
when he used it. So I got to thinking that an auxillary battery would be a
good idea.
The question is, where to mount it.
My preference would be under the hood but as you well know there isn't much
room under...

2000 Grand Cheorkee any good? by

In additoin to my Wrangler, my wife and I owned a '99 Grand Cherokee

that in for a new 2002 Grand Cherokee with the same 4.7L V8. My
Wrangler has the 4.0l six cylinder engine. Both engines are superb,
the
4.0L engine has a...

SYE recommendation by
Jerry Bransford[_2_]
You absolutely do not need to pull the t-case and the whole job can be
done in about an hour less than if you did pull the t-case. Just
drive
the rear of the Jeep up onto a pair of car ramps to give you way more
than enough room to do the job comfortably.
The job itself is not as complicated...
