green antifreeze in my 93 civic by
Robert Reynolds
I've been following the thread on Honda brand antifreeze, and I noticed
the comments about Prestone not belonging in a Honda.
I noticed green antifreeze in my 93 civic that I bought from a friend
recently. What potential hazards am I dealing with? What's the best
way to get it all out if I'm...

Tegger replaces his alternator by
Tegger
Did I ever tell you aftermarket sucks?
Through no fault of my own, I ended up with two aftermarket reman
alternators (NAPA), both of which failed very quickly. This time I said
screw the aftermarket warranty, bit the bullet and bought a genuine Honda
reman.
And this one I installed...myself....

unplug the spark-plug: error code or not? by
chibitul
Hi,
To make sure all 4 cylinders are running, I unplugged the high voltage
wire from each spark plug (one a a time, not all at once). Each time
the idle RPM dropped a little bit, so I said "OK, each cylinder must be
firing properly".
However, I drove later to AutoZone and asked them to check the...

replacing single rear brake caliper? by
Abeness
The last time I checked my rear brakes, they were fine but for the fact
that the parking brake arm rotates freely on the left side, without
engaging the piston. 94 Civic EX. The calipers show no evidence of brake
action problems: perfectly smooth in-and-out action on both rear
pistons--they even...

94-97 how to replace front wheel stud? DIY? by
[email protected]
Hi,
I have a 97 accord. I have a bad front wheel stud. When they changed
my tires, I noticed that the studs are on a circular plate bolted to
the top of the rotor.
Easy enough...I can remove 4 bolts, then take the plate off with
studs. Since I have not done this before, I don't know if I need...

Does anyone have experience with Mobil Drive Clean Oil 5W-20; I found

Replacement Battery '92 Accord Question by
[email protected]
Hi, I need to buy a new battery for a 1992 Accord 2dr LX. The original
was replaced with an aftermarket and now the aftermarket is dead. Any
advice or particular brand worth buying in batteries? This replacement
was an Energizer and fell short of it's five year life span. -thanks.

Question Platium Spark Plugs by

I visited the Honda Parts Department and asked the person behind the
counter to give me the price of Platium Spark Plugs that would fit in my
vehicle. I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX (4 cyld.). He told me the part
number of the plugs that I needed:
PZFR5F-11
He told me that the price per plug was...

Timing belt / water pump by
mpet500
I own a 2001 Honda Civic. It has about 100,000 KMs (62000 miles)
I just brought my car in to be repaired. The Honda dealer told me I have
to change the timing belt and water pump. Athough the timing belt is not
broken, he recommended I change it since it is all cracked. Unfortunately
changing...

"Door open" switch location 1991 Accord EX? by
Mark
Hello.
My driver's door switch is no longer working; the courtesy
light won't come on and, more importantly, I get no warning
if the lights are on or the keys are in the ignition.
Where is this switch located? I assume it is inside the door
itself (activated by the checkstrap perhaps?) but I...

Follow-up: Code 43 on 90 A. EX finally cleared! by
Slipnfall
Hello,
I posted a few weeks back about trying to rid of a code 43 on the
above Accord. Since it occured I(for one reason or another), installed
a good distrib(bearing going) with coil/ign, rotor, cap, wires, plugs,
fuel filter, finally an 02 sensor, and cleaned out the EGR valve
itself... Mind you...

Tire Gauge? by
Elle Navorski
Is there a super-duper tire gauge on the market?
I have been using a pocket protector tire gauge for years. I bought an air
compressor last summer and now check my tires' pressure at least once a
month. I have found the pocket gage cumbersome to use. I can't consistently
fit it exactly on the tire...

Replacing Battery by
Wade Garrett
I need to replace the battery on a 2010 CR-V but don't have one of those
electronics "settings keepers".
I don't mind resetting the radio code and presets-- but will anything
else get wiped if I disconnect the old battery without keeping power.
If it will, will any damage be done that just...
