any tips on replacing AZB auto transmission in 92 100S? by BOEING377
I have bought a replacement automatic transmission (AZB) for my 92 100S. The replacement was pulled from a collision wreck and was reportedly working fine at 92K. Cost $300. Fluid is clean and not any traces of burning. How hard is it to do the job? Any special tools needed besides a transmission...

Second set of wheels for snow tires ? by Allroad 03
I thought I could save twice-yearly mounting expenses by buying a set of steel wheels for my snow tires. My mechanic tells me steel rims are not available for the '03 Allroad... can this be true ? It doesn't seem cost effective to buy alloy rims... What do others of you do ?

Tyre Wear by Richard Goulding
I have noticed that my front tyres are wearing more on the inside of the tread than the outside. I don't think it is severe as the tyres have done at least 22,000 miles and they are still reasonable. I am going to replace them soon but wonder whether this wear pattern is something to worry about. I...

I am in Dorset, UK. My car is an Audi A3 1.8SE petrol engine, 4 years old, 24,000 miles only. About 2 weeks ago, my EM warning light came on and stayed on. The car was still driving perfectly normally, but I took it to the local franchise dealer, who charged me £100 to diagnose the problem,...

A6 Recall (lower control arms) question by Bruce W. Ellis
I recently took in my 2000 A6 2.7T for the JC (wiring harness) and JE (lower control arms) recalls. I turned out that the lower control arms had to be replaced. After some warm fuzzies about the control arms being replaced for free (I would hope so), I could only get evasive answers about the...
