audi a6 clutch by [email protected]
Thinking of buying a 2000 80k miler 1.9 tdi A6. Test drove it it yesterday and the clutch feels incredibly heavy. The bite is high up with no slippage so the clutch itself seems ok. Right? So is it just that the clutches in the a6 tdi are heavy? Its so heavy that it was uncomfortable to drive....

00 A4 check light by Kyle Tucker
Hi guys, For the past month my engine check light has been on for 4 or 5 days at a time and then goes out. My mechanic said the code showed as a mass air meter and he'd change that if it came back on. It was on the past few days and this morning I pulled into the gas station and it was on, filled...

A6 2.5TDi V6 QS - what to watch by [email protected]
Currently thinking of buying one of these in Avant shape, 51 plate, 180bhp version. Apart from the usual cosmetics, test drive and scrupulous inspection of the service history, anyone got any suggestions on things to look out for? Scouting about and it seems water pump and timing belt changes are...

Hi, I've had a lot of problems with a 2000 Audi A3. I recently got it repaired in Turners Cross Motors, Cork, Ireland. The most recent problem was that the petrol gauge stopped working for no apparent reason. After three trips to the garage it was eventually repaired. Parts cost €270 ex VAT and...

A3 Service Indicator - Premature? by Phil Devaney
I have a 2000 A3 1.6 and the service computer has recently started saying 'Service in 800 miles' on startup, but I think this is premature. It had its second variable service in July 04 and has done less than 8000 miles since then (27000 total), so the next service shouldn't be due for another 8...
