struts for 98.5 A4 2.8Q by KLS
I think my 98.5 A4 2.8Q needs new struts at 102,000 miles. The rear tires have excessive wear on the inside of the tread (the car had a 4-wheel alignment in May 2005), plus the ride has been a bit noisy. The struts now on the car are from the factory and have definitely served well. Any...

trunk lock won't release by KLS
So, this is a 98.5 A4 2.8Q, the best car I've ever had, and today I could not get the push button trunk lock to release the trunk. I had to put down the seats and get into the truck from the back seat to get my groceries out. The trunk is not locked, and I also couldn't get the key into the slot....

remote will not work, even with new battery by KLS
A good friend who bought an A6Q (2001, I think) on my advice from a local independent Audi repair shop/reseller has revealed to me that the remote to this car does nothing, not even with a new battery in it. Here is what she has told me: Ok...my remote does not work. It doesn't open anything - ...

throttle body cleaning by KLS
What's a reasonable price for throttle body cleaning for a 98 A4Q? And what do people think of induction cleaning on a car like this at 107k miles?

3 Exceptional European Automakers by [email protected]
When you think of exceptional cars that are built in Europe, does your mind run strictly to cars made by Rolls Royce, BMW, or Mercedes? Perhaps Jaguar and Lamborghini come to mind as well. Each of these makes deserve all the accolades given to them. Still, there are three makes that are, for...

Can't start Audi A6 by kodrik
I have a 1995 audi A6, never had a problem starting it. Yesterday, it was hard starting it, as if the battery was almost dead. I thought I had left the light on and drove it to recharge the battery, when I tried to restart it, it did it again, a very very weak starting as if the battery was...

Audi vs BMW vs Volvo by [email protected]
I'm short and retired. I polish my cars frequently. So, when looking for a low (I can polish it without having to get up on a ladder), short, functional car, I've narrowed my shopping to three wagons - the Audi A4 2.0T, the BMW 325i and the Volvo V50 2.4i or T5. I don't have the reactions any...
