Jeep Grand Cherokee: Death Trap by
Jeep Sucks
http://business.newsvine.com/_news/2010/08/24/4963245-grand-cherokees-investigated-over-fire-risk
I guess if your stupid enough to drive a jeep you deserve what you
get. Especially if you're a lard butt burn barrel story teller from
San Diego.

Tuneup ? and Follow Up by
Mindy[_2_]

of the engine when AC was on .. badly worn out but clean plugs, nothing on
them , just deteriated tip and bad gap ..everything seem to be showing

Help: 89 XJ Rear End Seized UP by
89 LTD
I was camping last week in the wilds of British Columbia and I guess I
somehow knocked on something and lost my rear diff fluid. About 500 KM's
later, when climbing a long, long uphill paved road, my rear end locked up
solid (the entire case was sizzling like a frying pan!). The truck is now...

Tire "chopping" caused by front shocks ? by
James[_1_]
This is a 2002 Jeep Wrangler with Goodyear Wrangler GS-A tires, 30 x
9.50 R 15 LT. 43K miles on the car, not sure if original tires,
but probably not, as these tires have a lot of tread on them.
Getting vibration, mostly from front, and balancing has not cured it.
Finally, the tire...

well, crap. by
DougW[_2_]
On a long trip home one of the oil fittings on my supercharger
decided to spring a leak and it ran low on oil. Given the age
of this thing I'm not surprised. Looks like the unit might be dead. :(
Going to have to tear it off and open it up to find out.
Hopefully it's not completely gone, but...

1996 XJ ANTENNA PARTS & REPLACEMENT RADIO WITH CD by
bw-fl
What new parts are needed to replace all the antenna cables from the
fender to the radio, including the antenna mount on the fender?
Where's a good place to buy these at a reasonable price?
Also, is there a genuine Jeep XJ radio with a CD player that is a
direct replacement for the existing...

a bit of tech advice by
Old Crow
If there's anyone here still who knows anything about Jeeps.
I've had a couple of Wranglers and 3 Cherokees, but they've all been either
'94 or '95 models(not sure how that happened, but it did).
Now I'm looking at a '92 Wrangler 4.0 6cyl, 5 spd 4x4. Are there any
significant differences in the...

Q) 94 ZJ Limited 4.0L blower motor relay by
[email protected]
The HEVAC blower motor relay on my 94 ZJ Limited 4.0L without ATC
appears to be failing.
The fan motor will randomly shutdown then restart. Speed switch
position is not a factor.
The specific location of the relay is a bit vague. Where does this
relay reside?

Question about upper knuckle ball stud by
Larry[_21_]
Hi all...I have an 01 Grand Cherokee. In the owners manual at the
90,000 mile service says that the upper knuckle ball stud needs to be
lubricated. I went to the dealer where I get the jeep serviced and
the service manager had no idea what that component was, nor was he
inclined to ask anyone. ...

It's odd. I never thought of looking for this untill I went looking for a new plug in battery monitor. This would sure be easier
than setting up my Craftsman battery analizer.
Should be easy to...

87 GW Electrical Gauge by
[email protected]
Driving down the road this morning, I suddenly noticed that the
electrical gauge on my 1987 Grand Wagoneer had pegged at "18". It also
appeared that the water temp gauge was reading a few degrees higher
than normal. After awhile, the temp gauge and electrical gauge both
returned to normal, with...

97 ZJ vibration on braking by
J. Clarke
All of a sudden my 97 ZJ 5.2 Up-Country with not quite 90K miles has
started shaking during braking at around 50 MPH. At 65 no vibration, at
30 no vibration, but if I hit the brakes at 65 it goes through a period
of vibration around 50 mph (that number's not exact) and then stops
vibrating as...

Rain. by
DougW[_2_]
I used to borrow the saying, "It's raining outside
like a cow ****ing on a flat rock." But looking
out the window and not being able to see the back
fence makes me think a heard of cows are ****ing
into a jet engine. :/ The rock took cover.

Mystery Solved by
[email protected]
I feel somewhat foolish on this one, but will tell on myself in the
hope that others may avoid the problems I've experienced.
I couldn't find a PS Mount bracket locally, and was eventually
directed to the great online Jeep store, JWJeep.com. Not only did
they have the major mount bracket, but...

Mystery Deepens by
[email protected]
In a futile attempt to find a Power Steering Mount bracket for my '87
Grand Wagoneer, I went to a junk yard called "Pull and Save". There
were two FSJs there with AMC 360 V8s, and both had the PS Mount
brackets broken off at the same place mine.
No wonder I am having trouble finding this part,and...
