mike[_1_]
I was out trying to look at a new car, and my wife took a liking to the
Jeep Crossover, with the two-pulley transmission. I am not new to this
design, as I have been using this type of transmission/clutching in the
snow machines.
My concern is that I like simple. This system, unlike the...

Help 3.9L oil capacity issue by
Moses[_2_]
I have a 99 RanVan with 3.9, no owners manual. Haynes says all full
size vans use 5 qts oil. This one, with filter change, shows over full
with 4 qts. Is this normal?

Nardelli, what are they thinking? by
General Schvantzkoph
Why would Cerberus pick an incompetent like Bob Nardelli to run Chrysler?
Obviously none of the Cerberus people have stepped foot in a Home Depot
lately. Home Depots are much worse then they were before his tenure.
The man is the poster boy for executive excess, hardly the person to ask
the...

broken idler pulley/tensioner bolt - '90 Lebaron by
JustMe
like an idiot, I overtightened the bolt that secures the tensioner
assembly (timing belt) while changing the water pump. Obviously I'm
going to need a screw extraction kit, some drill bits, and my B & D. I
can't help but wonder if I'm going to break the damned extractor in
the attempt. I soaked the...

41TE sometimes does not engage by
Whoever
I have a late '90s Voyager on which the transmission sometimes does
not engage. This happens shortly after starting and always just as one
slows down for a junction and then tries to accelerate again to speed up.
The engine spins quickly, but the transmission does not engage, so no
power is...

Want to replace carpet padding with ... ? by
Gene[_4_]
Problem: car had a musty odor because the factory carpet rubber
backing between the carpet and Jute padding cracked and let water
migrate into the Jute padding. The pulled Jute padding was like placing a
saturated
piece of padding into a Zip-Lock bag and permanently sealing it. The odor
was REALLY...
