New Logi Wheel G25 by
Mitch
Looks to fill the niche that was just talked about here on RAS. Looks
interesting and Im looking forward to some reviews.
----------
For racing at home, Logitech at E3 introduces the G25 Racing Wheel. The
system includes a six-speed shifter and clutch pedal, two force-feedback
motors, an 11-inch...

What's the purpose of vanishing cars in iRacing? by
Rob P
Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but in a race yesterday I got some
good acceleration out of a corner and moved in for an overtake. As I got
nearer the opponent's car just disappeared which was very disconcerting. At
this point I realized there is probably a high chance that said...

GPL Driving guide by

Is there a good GPL driving guide on the net? Ones I've looked at weren't
very helpful.
Thanks

Is GTR the next CPR? by
Byron Forbes
My prediction - the sim mode is cactus and that's why it's not in the
demo. Prepare for CPR2 (Cart Precision Racing) Looks like it's gunna have a
lot of bells and whistles (like CPR) but be fundamentally flawed in some
ways.
Sorry, I just haven't seen anyone other than Papy do it right (F1C...

rFactor by
bluestringer
I'm getting back into race sims and heard rFactor was a good one to try. So
I downloaded the demo and it just doesn't seem too good. The sounds are
cartoonish, cars sound like bumblebees and the shifting sounds funky. Is
there a NASCAR mod for it? Are there any good NASCAR sims other than...

Virtual RC Racing by
J. Todd Wasson
Posted this earlier but it didn't show up. Sorry if it's a double post.
The sim Lothar Pantel, Tony West, and I have been working on for an ungodly
amount of time has finally been released. This is IC 1/8 and 1/10 scale nitro
RC cars, so not something probably for the majority of you folks. ...

NASCAR 2003 or NASCAR Racing 4? by
RickSweeney
I see posts on NASCAR 2003, but never see anything on 4. Which one is
everyone using and why? Which is the better on-line experience?

Dundrod - An Appreciation by
Steve Smith
Dundrod - An Appreciation
Wrong and wrong again! All the great GPL vintage tracks have NOT been
released, as I so precipitously proclaimed in my 9/10 Appreciation of Sergio
Loro's Mellaha (Tripoli) and was subsequently forced to amend in my
Appreciation of John Basara's Monza 10K on 9/27.
Jim...

New Tire Model on iRacing by
Pat Dotson

Guess I'll answer them myself...
#2 first - I'm kind of ticked about the delay. My subscription ran
out months ago. I renewed...

NFS Shift tips and comments by
jeffareid
First the tips:
If you have trouble with drifting, set the driving mode to casual,
the game's auto-steering and auto-throttle/brake makes is seem that
your driving with a different set of physics (or maybe the physics
is changed). You only need to steer a bit, and you can hold the
throttle down...

Dilemma,
Installed (duh prepaid through link at the website) before reading it would
been easier after I downloaded the game... well that was a week ago, I had
a couple minutes to give it a try, hoped the key would be there when install
was done downloading... nope it shows up later like the...

rFactor AI Tin Tops Vs Open Wheelers by
Dave Henrie
I have been reading lots of complaints about the AI in rF for the last
few days, But my first few days driving didn't seem to have the same
problems. I spent most of the first days using the fendered cars though.
Then I tried the F1ish cars and began to see what everyone was...

RSC, why was Legends Central delted? by
Jeff Reid
Under: "Why don't other sites care about the things we do?"
Maybe they didn't have their site deleted once due to a mistake by a site member? That happened to RSC (then Legends
Central) in 2001. We also have a good relationship with some publishers and developers simply because of the rules...

iRacing free one month "demos" for GPL & NR2003 fans by

Rather than the basic content you get a choice of driving the Skip
Barber around VIR (an excellent combination IMHO) or the Late Models
around Martinsville Speedway - something that should...

iRacing's poor customer service and is overpriced. by
RobertMcTigue
After a year on the iracing service I find it to be fair at best. A
"premium service" price should produce "premium service". Paying for a
5 star hotel and getting 2 star service is iracing!! Aside from the
few glitches in the software, there protest system is setup so the
steward can talk down to...

What's left to sim? by
John DiFool
I mean issues like tires, drafting, variable weather,
better FF and AI, etc., and not new types of cars or
series necessarily. In other words what kinds of stuff
still bears to be improved upon (or even invented),
and what has been pretty much optimized? What will
we see 5-10 years down the road?...
