Headlights by
wilmasvette
My husband bought me a 1981 corvette for my birthday. The headlights were
working fine. They would come up and down very good. Now the lights are up
and won't go back down. We have checked all the fuses, and they are all
good. We checked for vacuum leaks, and no luck. Can someone help
me,please? ...

need a rack n pinion system for 86 2.5 turns lock2lock by
Raymond Prince
My rack had a small leak on the caps at mid cylinder. I got them to stop
leaking with new fluid with leak protection additive in it. Now it has
developed a larger leak near the valve body where the fittings take the
fluid to the rack cylinder. Anyone with any ideas on this or know the best
place to...

Seattle area body work by
Gnome of Zurich
Hi all,
Well, it finally happened. When I came out to the parking lot where I work
this evening, there was a note on my windshield. ("I'm so sorry, but...")
It turns out, luckily, that 1) the damage *appears* to be minor, and 2) she
is insured.
At any rate, I bought this '02 convertible new in...

Nick in Time by
Doc ET
My neighbor was backing out of her driveway; when she went forward, and
nicked my '04 vette. It has a slight crease on the corner. Can that be
fixed without replacing the rear end? If you didn't know it was there,
you wouldn't be able to tell.
However, they are moving and I want to fix it; if,...

About seats by
rebco10
I just do not like the look of the c5 interior. The seats just look
plain compared to the c4 sport seats.
I like everything else about the c5 better so take it easy.

seat covers by
rebco10
My seats still look great. Now I want to keep them looking that way.
I am concerned that seat covers could actually do damage to the seat
underneath.
What are the best seat covers to protect the seats and keep the sport
seats feeling like...... sport seats?

Is Diode still around? by
Tom in Missouri
Diode,
A friend is headed to ProTeam next week. So far, he has made one phone call
and didn't feel much of a connection, so he was wondering if anyone had
someone they dealt with there and felt like recommending.
Since you bought there and liked your salesman, I thought I'd send him...

? BLACK BOX ? by
G
I saw a news clip stating that auto manufactures are installing BLACK
BOXES in cars that record speed and a few other items.
Wondering if anyone knows if BLACK BOXES were installed in 1998 Vetts?
If yes, where can I find information about locating the box and
disconnecting it.

Dont laugh 96 lt4 vs 2005 corvette by
rebco10
I have the lt4 and love it. My week end car.
I have been looking at the 2005 mustang gt for every day car.
I have not been able to drive one yet. Anyone ever test drive or
drive the mustang that can tell me how it was.
There are very very few things not to like about the C4. The one
biggie is...

First Vette by
JG
Looks like I'll be buying my first Vette a few weeks (added this group to my
favorites.) It's 99 coupe Magnetic Red with a black interior with the Z51
package and 6 spd. I've been a synthetic user since 1980 (Amsoil mostly.) I
know they been using Mobil 1 in these Vettes since the mid 1990's I...

'93 PKE problems by
MW
Beginning of the season and the PKE doesn't work. No problem, I've
programmed it before... (oh! Did I say NO problem?)
Went through the steps to the point where the PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY light
*should* come on and stay on ... It doesn't.
I'm in fear of a bad PKE circuit in the dash. Any sage...

Gel Coat Question by
Vic Spainhower
OK - I'm confused. I've got a '63 split Window that I'm going to re-paint
because it's got blisters showing up. The confusion is because I don't know
if Gel Coating is a must or not. I have 2 restore shops that tell me it is
and the paint won't last 3 years if I don't and 2 others that ay they...
