Recall For Steering Column Messed Up My Car! by
Stephen Horrillo
I have a 98 Vette. I received a notice from GM the lock on my steering
column was defective and needed to be removed or the wheel might lock up and
accelerate and cause a crash. I took it to the dealer and had it "fixed." It
was fine for a couple of weeks but now my cat will not go more than a...

Rear Window 2005 Coupe by
Bubba1
Just wondering if anyone has heard of this. My 2005 vette was sitting
in my driveway 62 degrees outside temp for about 20 minutes. I was
cleaning the rear plate frame when the rear window exploded. All the
windows were closed at the time and it made the same sound as if you
threw a match in a can...

1969 Corvette windshield wiper door problem by
[email protected]
Can anyone help - I have a SB 1969 corvette and the wiper door does
not stay closed when I turn the car on. The lights are fine so there
is no vacuum problem there. It's just the wiper door which slowly
opens when car is started. Before I start replacing the wiper door
actuator and the vacuum...

Brake question? by
Ebeneezer Geezer
I am preparing to do a brake job on my '76 vette (with trepidation). I know
that the bleeder nipples can be an issue as I have read of them being
snapped off. What is the best wat to try to get these guys loose for
bleeding the brakes? A small wrench ? or a socket on top of them? and then
the...

92 Corvette LT1 Base Suspension by
Joe G.
Hi,
I'm the original owner of a 92 LT Vette w/~20k on it.
Over the years I noticed the ride has not been as tight as when the car was
new. The dealer tells me the stock Bilistien shocks are fine. However I am
just getting too much bounce.
I've been thinking of converting her to a "coil over"...

Posi-Traction by
Steve Land
I have a 1969 with 350/350 and 4 speed (M20). Can't make out most of the
differential numbers, I believe it is a 3.36. Does anyone know how to tell
if positraction without disassembly or buring the tires??
Thanks in advance for any info.

Corvette Aftermarket catalogue - any recommendations? by
Chevguy
Hello.
Have a 1994 vette and am looking for some recommendations as to some good
mail order catalogues out there for OEM equivalent parts (weather-stripping,
dash pieces etc..) and am in Canada. I don't care if the co. is in Canada,
but must obviously be able to do Intl. orders.
- Thanks.

C5 Steering Column lock - How to Unlock by
sbright
I ran across this tip which saved me a tow..:
Pull the wheel to the right
Insert Key then turn key as usual while pulling the wheel to the right
Turns out the column lock starts doing its thing as soon as the key is
inserted (not turned yet)
This saves you from breaking your arm while cranking...

parking brake by
BDragon
Ric, (ack, I think that is who responded) thanks for mentioning where the
adjuster is for the parking brake. I knew there was one around the rotor
somewhere, but I kept trying to find it on the inside. I guess it's between
a couple of the lugs on the outside, huh? I'm going to go pull the...
