166 ICS by
J-P Westaway-Green
Hello everyone,
I've just put down a small deposit on a 166 2.5.V6 (T Plate) to hold the
car - looked at a 156, last posting and decided against it (thanks for
the advice SteveH ;-))
The 166 appears in V.good working order - FASH, receipts etc and was
fantastic to drive. However, before I...

Mike Johnson
Hi,
Can anyone tell me where I can buy (if even possible) a facia
adapter so my SONY CDX-F7750S stereo can fit nicely into the dashboard
of my Alfa 156 SW JTS (model 2005) ?
I just purchased one but first of all it's black because the dealer
said that it's not possible to get a silver one....

Bret Ludwig
Is there an industrial, marine, or truck Alfa Romeo DOHC engine that
would look cool in a kit car we never saw in the US?

156 manual gearbox oil change... by
156 SP3
Bought the new gearbox oil, got underneath the car and removed the
undertray, only to find that I didn't have a suitable allen key to fit the
drain plug......DOH
Seems it has to be very short to fit in drain plug and not get in the way of
some protruding lump of metal opposite! Can anyone suggest...

Sportwagon rear net thing by
ninja
Hi,
I have a 2004 156 Sw. I have the standard pull-over luggage cover. In
the headlining over the boot are two latches, that I assume will take a
luggage net. Does anyone know if it is possible to get hold of these other
than with a new vehicle, & if so the likely cost? Also does this...

My 1.6TS sound like a diesel? by
HK
For a first 10-15 seconds my 1.6TS sounds pretty much like a diesel engine.
After that period it is back to normal. What can be the problem?

Alfa belts..again! by
Paul K via CarKB.com
Hi all
Ive read some of the threads concerning cambelts thoroughly but have a
question.
Ive just bought a 3.0 166 with 37,000 miles. Its a great car. But does anyone
know when the cambelt needs to be changed on the 3.0? I read somewhere else
that on 4 cyl engines that it needs to be done at 36 k...

floorpans, repainted the proper Old English White it was originally. Rusty
panels, bent rusty boot lid replaced, all lids fitted with near-foolish attention to gaps and
alignment. Scarred and rusty facia refinished to meet...

Help - my 156 engine just died! by
Frankie
I have a 156 Sportwagon that is just over 3 years old and has done
around 46,000. The other night it overheated on the motorway at high
speed and I heard lots of 'clunking' noises. I got towed to a garage
and have now been told there is a major engine problem. Alternatives
offered to me are...

164 TS stuck in 1st gear by
Barny
Hi folks
My 164 TS is stuck in first gear..... no matter how hard I wrestle with
the gear stick I can't get it into neutral or any other gear.
It feels like the problrm is with the gearbox rather than the gear lever
assembly as there is lots of movement of the gear stick.
Has this or similar...

J-P Westaway-Green
Hello every one,
Just a quick question, I'm viewing a 98 'S' Plate 2l TS tomorrow
(Mangoletsi's, Knutsford, if anyone has experience with them). The car has
had 2 owners, nearly full service history - however, it has 125K on the
clock.
The car is priced at £2,990, which seems reasonable to me and...

.sig change 75 gone by
Catman
I are a happy though sad bunny.
The 75 that I wanted to use as a daily driver, that didn't work out sold on
ebay and was picked up tonight. Only went for £82 but there we are.
On a happy note it's going to the Nurburgring as a track car with the
experience. I am *really* chuffed that it's ot...
