Lost wedding ring in 2004 Jetta by
ml4179 via CarKB.com
Hi, I hope someone can help me. I lost my wedding ring while sitting on the
front passenger seat of Jetta 2004. It happened very quickly , but I have
noticed where the ring went: into the seat belt opening on the floor. I saw
the ring right on top of the opening along with a dime coin, but when I...

Keyless entry problem - 1999 New Beetle by
[email protected]
Here again, I have seen hints of this problem in the forums, but not a
definitive answer...
On our 1999 Beetle, the keyless entry is not working correctly. When we
exit the car and press the lock button, the passenger door and trunk
lock, but the drivers door does not. It horns first, then tried...

pads replace, and they turned the rotors. My wife only belives that
you can have work done at a dealership, and is ****ed right now,

90 Golf is great, but jumpy when it's damp by
Ldray
I just purchased a 90 Golf GL with nearly 240.000 miles. It has been
well maintained, has a brand new distributor even. The plug wires have
also been replaced. The previous owner told me that it stalls when
it's driven in the wet occasionally. It stalls for about 5 minutes,
then all is...

Corrado keeps dying... dunno why? by
N8N
Hi all,
my girlfriend has a '90 Corrado G60 to which she is ludicrously
attached... for the last while (not sure how long, but this is an
ongoing problem) she has had a problem with the battery going dead
while the car is parked. Lately it has become worse; the battery went
dead enough that the...

Cause of Beetle overheating? by
Mike Wolf
The temp light came on in my 2001 Beetle 1.8T after only driving for
about 10 minutes. I had the air on and it stopped blowing cold when this
happened. When I stopped to check it, the overflow bulb didn't appear to
be boiling or venting. After my car sat for about 2 hours, the air was
working fine...

Although, I'm having problems with the left rear turn signal. For the
first few days everything worked correctly, but now when I flip on the
left turn signal and apply the brake the turn signal indicator on the

a mess. After putting it all back together it runs but its really not
right. I think the timing belt is on one tooth out but I cannot fathom
out the timing marks no matter how hard I try. The head was stripped
by a garage...

My problem. the engine and FI system I have in my 1986 jetta was not

the wiring. (Come to find out after I threw the old car away). I need a

When will TDI be available in new "Rabbit" by
Kit
The VW North America web site lists the 2.5 as the only available engine in
the new Golf, again called Rabbit in the US like the A1 Golf. Does anyone
know when this car will be available with the TDI?

92 1.8L Jetta (RV Engine) - ignition problem driving me nuts...need help! by
DarylS
Hi everyone,
I have a well-worn 92 Jetta with a 1.8L RV engine. The car starts fine
and for the first ten minutes or so works flawlessly. Once everything
heats up however I am getting erratic misfiring on all cylinders. It
doesn't seem to matter where the throttle is or how much load is
placed...

'87 Scirocco 16V gas tank by
William J. Leary Jr.
What's the capacity of the '87 16V Scirocco gas tank? It was originally sold
in Massachusetts, if that makes a difference.
I remember looking it up somewhere and finding 12 gallons.
I just did it again, and found a replacement tank, which claims a capacity of
over 14 gallons.
I'm asking because...

DRL Issue by
McNerd
I just swapped in some new low beams (superwhite 5000k.) Now, my '01
GTI VR6 seems to have forgotten it has DRL. Not that it's a big deal
or anything, but i was just wondering if my suspicion is correct. I'm
thinking it's just that my bulbs (cheap: $5 each) are simply not
capable of producing...

wiring of power door locks in 96 cabrio? by
Bill Kearney[_1_]
Anyone have a schematic online somewhere of how the power locks are wired in
a 96 cabrio?
I'm specifically looking for whether I can use an aftermarket system that
uses either positive or ground activation. That is, detecting using two
signals, either as 'going high' or being pulled to ground,...
