BioDiesel question - Toronto area by
Amit Joneja
Hi:
Has anyone tried the BioDiesel from the Utopia retail location in Unionville
(Hwy 7 and Kennedy Rd., Greater Toronto Area)? Does this diesel variety gel
in low temperatures? Or is it ok if a diesel fuel conditioner like Stanadyne
is added to it to prevent gelling? Should I use just regular...

Peace Brother by

Let me know if I'm having paranoid delusions again, but the voices in my
head tell me that one of the more valuable contributors to this group is
deliberately ignoring my posts. It all seemed to began after I expressed
sincere appreciation for some timely advice, but refused to remit a...

Accurate Tire Pressure by
Tavish Muldoon
Anyone know of something that will inflate my tires all to the same
tire pressure.
The gas station air pumps put out a lot of air and I never get all my
tires at the same pressure - they are usually differ by 1 or 2 psi.
Some gas stations use to have dial air pumps you put in the psi you
want and...

92 Cabriolet front wheel bearing by
Mike
Hello -
Went to purchase a replacement wheel bearing and asked for the grease
seals and the guy at AutoZone told me they are "built" into the
bearing assembly?? Has anyone else run into this? Are new grease
seals not needed when replacing the old bearing with a newer bearing
that's now been...

Just wreckec my wifes 93 Cabriolet by
jbrianchamberlin
I can't believe I did this. It was parked in the driveway and I
backed into the front of it with our 2001 Toyota Highlander. The
bumper on the truck met the Cabriolet in the hood and grill. It busted
the head lights and smashed in the front of the body a little. She's
so ****ed at me. The...

My trunk lid was rattling when I drove on bumpy roads so I tightened
it up by moving the bar that the latch grabs onto down just a bit. 99%
of the time I open the trunk by using the remote release in the car.
Everything was fine for about a month after adjusting the latch then
one day I hit the...

Interpreting VIN by
Jeff Bailey
I'm buying a 2001 Passat over the internet. When I plug the VIN into carfax,
it comes back as a 4motion, which I believe is a 6 cylinder. The dealer says
it is a 1.8 turbo. How do I interpret the VIN to know for sure?

2002 Passate GLS AC Question Part II by
John Smallberries
The issue has been going on for a while (smelly air, moisture blowing
into the cabin, etc...) for a few days. This morning, the AC started
to make a clicking sound that went away when I turned it off. I turned
it back on and heard a belt squeal for a few seconds, then the car
stalled.
Now, the car...

1991 Golf won't start. by
zoara
I bought a cheap (200 quid) 1991 Golf 4+E a couple of weeks ago, so
wasn't that surprised when it stopped working. The previous owner told
us it was due for a service but I ended up driving it more than I should
have before looking at it, and I think I killed it.
I've only ever tinkered with...
