The car is an '01 Jetta, base 2.0L engine. It has the shroud around the oil pan, lined with foam. With every oil change, more oil gets into the foam, both from the drain plug and the filter. The foam is thoroughly saturated with oil. Changed the oil Sunday morning, and noticed a couple of spots...

90 passat stalls after warmup by Kark Doemland
My 90 passat w/A9 motor stalls after +/- 20 minutes. Could it be overheating? Temp gauge = 190 to 220 degrees, occasionally fluctuates. the fan starts ok, maybe too late? If so, why would overheating stop the fuel injection? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Karl D.-

Ok, I did it by Mikhael47
Based on all your comments in the newsgroup, I took the plunge and ordered a 2004 Golf GLS TDI. If I clear the financing hurdle (should know by friday), I'll take possession on monday. I am trading in a very high KM 2000 neon, and getting raped. I guess a 4cyl neon with 230 000km doesn't fetch a...

Serious Bentley Manual Problems by Kent
A while back, someone started a thread asking which was the preferred Bentley Manual, electronic or print version. The consensus seemed to be that the electronic version was not worth the premium price. Well, I should have taken the group's advice. I received my CD for the Bentley GTI, Golf, Jetta...
