Ping Kidding: Battery swapping: Another Angst Idiot idear, apparently.... by
Existential Angst[_2_]
http://www.greencarreports.com/news/1084954_tesla-shows-90-second-battery-swapping-for-model-s-details-rollout-plans
Oh, oh, I forgot.... It's the GM engineers who know everything, nothing
else can work.
Get-me-home (swappable) gensets are of course ludicrous, as well.

GM's marketing makes no sense by
Nate Nagel[_2_]
Just saw an ad for the Caddy ATS on TV late last night. Supposedly it's
a really nice little car; I don't know, I haven't driven one. But all
the reviews I've read/watched position it as a legitimate competitor to
the BMW 3-series.
The specific ad that I saw made a big deal out of the...

needed new tie rod ends. Looking for opinions on a quality brand - in
the past I was under the impression that Moog was always good and
reliable but based on some comments on one of the Jeep groups that I
follow it...

give 13% more mpgs, just from the higher btu's per gallon alone.
And, funnily enough, diesel appears to be about 13% more expensive at the...

Way to mount manual tire changer to garage by

I am thinking of getting a manual tire changer. But I dont want to drill holes in my garage floor. Can anyone think og an ingenious way to mount it that does not require drilling into the floor but that would still allow it to work well?

spoked wheels obsoletion by

given that spokes are alive and well on bicycles I have to ask
why they are gone from the car wheels.
motorcycles held a little longer than cars it seems,
but spokes are long gone in standard, touring and sport
triangle (not sure if harley and wannabes have them or not)
so, was it the looks alone...
