what are you guys using for rust removal/paint prep? by
Nate Nagel[_2_]
Hi all,
am thrashing on Jeep again... vehicle is mostly rust free
(surprisingly, since it's from PA) but I've started ripping the old rear
bumper and gas tank skid plate off so as to install a new rear bumper
that isn't made from poop and fail, and has proper D-ring tabs and a
Class 3...

C7 Corvette by
PolicySpy[_3_]
The new Corvette is at the auto show.
It could be a lot worse but I'll just tally it:
Separate frame and fiberglass bodywork, two-thumbs-up
Longer wheelbase, one-thumb-down
Wider track, one-thumb-up

ABS vibration by
Tom Del Rosso[_4_]
This past winter was the first time I drove with ABS in snow. Is there
supposed to be a vibration that is transmitted all the way back to the pedal
when it activates?
This is a 2002 LeSabre.

Excessive crank, 2007 Saturn Aura XR with 171K miles by
Shawn
I own a 2007 Saturn Aura XR that has 171K total miles on it. I've had it since the summer of 2009 and I've driven it approximately 140K miles. The following problem has plagued me for approximately the last 12 months: Whenever I fill the gas tank, the very next time I try to start the car it...

it's been a topic mentioned here a number of times, but today i
witnessed a very real and unintended consequence of the current trend
for high window lines on cars.
a wheelchair was at an intersection crosswalk waiting for the signal to
go, and a car pulled up on his left waiting to turn right...

Man, what a mediocre car by
Vic Smith
I took the 2003 Impala with 3.4 that I bought a few weeks ago for a
ride on the highway today. Car has 49k miles on it and is
cosmetically perfect. Silver.
Cam broke on my rusting '97 3.1 Lumina with 180k miles, so I had to
replace it and this Impala was at a local Chevy dealer for a fair
price...

Best auto parts store. by

Since I was a child I have heard that NAPA is the best place to get auto
parts. They are a little more expensive but have better rebuilt and new
parts. Also employees are more knowledgeable. Agree or not?
For example would a rebuilt alternator, starter etc be better quality if
it comes from...
