2004 Trailblazer by [email protected]
My Trailblazer has started to shut off while I'm driving. After it shuts off the gauges start to flip out. It doesn't do it all the time but frequent enough to cause concern. Do you know if it's something I can fix myself or try to before taking it to a mechanic? Thanks.

It is carb., so I don't have to sorry about fuel injection issues. I measured the voltage at the "coil pack" inside the...

99 Taurus flopping wiper....any ideas? by dho
I have a 99 Taurus, the wiper on the driver said just freely swings back and forth, right off the windshield even. Any idea how I remove it? Are there bearing in the end of the arm? Will replacing the arm fix it?

Where to get a free VIN check? by OttawaTrade
Where to get a free VIN check? I remember there is something like a per month charge, and some website provide the check for free, or at a much cheaper price than buying directly. Carfax has 1 car check for 19.99, too much. I like monthly pay.

96 Nissan Sentra Oil Pressure Sending Unit PITA by Caprice85
Anyone familiar with changing the oil pressure sending unit on a Sentra ? I'm trying to replace the oil pressure sending unit on a 96 Sentra 1.6 Liter engine. It looks like I'm going to have to unbolt a bracket which goes up to the intake manifold(?) to get it out of the way so I can put the...

suburban rough idle/stalling by no_one
I have a 1995 chevy suburban 1500 with about 115,000 miles. I have the 350CID engine and the automatic with OD. After warming up and driving it has begun "hunting" at idle (rpm's surging between 500 and 1000) and often dies. It will restart fine and then idles OK until I start driving...

how much gap can be taken up by gasket? by Nate Nagel
Hi, got a question regarding my intake manifold/vacuum leaks... About a year ago I traded a vintage Offenhauser manifold for a reproduction of a later factory manifold cast in aluminum. Big mistake. The repro does not fit. When I set it on the engine there's huge gaps although the manifold will...

why the difference by [email protected]

Problem with clutch - bad smell.....Any ideas? by [email protected]
Hi - I own a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara (and have owned it for over two years). Recently, it has started to emit a really bad burning smell immediately after riding the clutch a bit (like when I am pulling out of a parallel parking spot on a hill). My car NEVER did this before and just starting...

Slow city driving in the rain today when, with no warning or mishap, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. No symptoms, car runs fine. Tried the ignition key on-off-on-off-on trick and got the "Service Engine Soon" light to blink out codes: 12 43 55. Alpar.com interprets this as two codes, 12...

Overhead cams have valve lifters ? by Caprice85
I'm getting lots of loud clacking on a 96 Nissan Sentra 1.6 Liter. Sounds like it's coming from the head. It has overhead cam, I believe. I had thought OHC did not use hydraulic valve lifters, so I thought sludged up lifters would NOT be causing the clacking. The clacking comes and goes, does not...
