Suggestion on Corvette year to buy by
eganders
I am interested in purchasing a Corvette and would like a suggestion
on a year or year range. I am just going to use it as a fun "driver"
and I would like it to be probably no older than 12 to 15 years old.
I have owned two others in my lifetime (a '63 gold split window and a
'78 silver...

07.06.2008 oli näemmä turhaa etsiä edes lehdistä päivää aiemmin julkaistua

Opinions? by
NapalmHeart[_2_]
I have looked at an '82 CE. No longer a numbers matching car (not important to me), it has a
350/330 horse GM crate engine and a 700R4 crate transmission, both with about 4,000 miles on them.
It has a MI salvage title, but I've seen pictures and documentation that show that there was no
frame...

Inaccurate C3 fuel reading by
[email protected][_2_]
I have a 76 and the fuel guage is all over the map. It seems to be
sticking.
It usually will read right off the map - full, full, full. Then If I
stop or decelerate suddenly it will go down to where the normal
reading should be and I know how much gas I have. Sometimes it seems
ok for awhile with...

Thanks for Run Flat Tires by
aRKay[_2_]
We had a major tire event on the way over to Pearland, TX on the Sam
Houston Toll Road out in the boonies. The C5's DIC (digital information
display) went nuts saying WARNING right rear tire needs service NOW.
We were in the boonies and there was NO place to stop for service. I
just slowed...

Old Vinyl Softener? by
Clams Canino
OK.... I just picked up a pair of near pristine 1969 seats that were lost
in a storage building for a long long time. The vinyl is very "stiff" and
before I clean the seats or armor-all the seats or whatever - I want to know
what to spray / soak them with to soften them up a good amount.
Thanks...

Chevrolet Releases Full Specs And Pricing For 2010 Corvette Z06 by
notlove
The 638hp (476kW) ZR1 and brand new Grand Sport models may be getting all the limelight but the race-bred Corvette Z06 supercar is still tearing up pavements around the country and like the rest of the Corvette range has been updated for the 2010 model year. The 505hp (377kW) Z06 remains one of the...

Fuel rail on '93 falling apart by
JimH[_3_]
My '93 was running very poorly. I took it to my service guy who
diagnosed a clogged fuel injector. He cleaned it, and the car ran well
again for one day. I took it back in, and he saw that there was crud on
the intake for the injector. He then saw that the fuel line was filled
with a hard...

GM bumps price of 2010 Corvette ZR1 up $2,910 to $107,830 by
notlove
Supercar performance from a 638hp supercharged V8 engine, carbon fiber bodywork and sharp styling should all add up to a price tag in the $200,000+ range if you look to the competition, but the Corvette ZR1's unmatched value put its sticker price at just $104,920 for 2009. That price will be going...

Help: 2002 C5 intermittent cranking issue by

This one is probably headed for the dealer. I just haven't made up my
mind whether to drive it there now (risking a monster disagnostics
effort that doesn't come up with the right solution); or, waiting until
it fails completely and having it towed to the dealer. Or maybe taking
it to a...

Le Mans -- nice work! by
pj
The Corvette No. 63, driven by Jan Magnussen of
Denmark, Antonio Garcia of Spain and Johnny
O'Connell of the United States, completed 342
laps to finish first in the GT1 class and 15th
overall.
Hands down winner was Peugeot #9, diesel @ 382 laps.
