1997 528i rear rattling on bumpy pavement by Notgiven
I have taken everything loose out of the trunk and it still rattles in the rear when you ride over bumpy pavement or speed bumps. I've read where this model might have premature problems with something in the rear suspension. Any ideas are much appreciated!

2006 530i, buying experience by daddy
Wife and I are considering buying a new 530i. We've scanned both KBB & Edmunds, and it appears purchase price points are generally $1K - $1.5K below MSRP. Is that typical with BMW? My previous experience with buying US domestic vehicles put us generally at dealer invoice or below. Understood,...

BMW Vehicle Security System Remote Control Unit by Bob
Would anyone happen to have a key fob remote control unit that they would be willing to part with for a reasonable sum. Maybe a wreck and car is gone but that little key ring remote is still around? One of the remotes from a recently acquired 95 M3 has a broken case and I am in need of a...

Hi, I have 1998 Z3 and the passenger door lock does not always pop up, or pop down. I would like to remove the door trim to ease the lock, but cannot see how to do this. Is it just prise off, or are there hidden screws / bolts that should be released. (There are no air bags in the door.) Any...

94 540i BMW transmission issue by smitty
I am told I have a sealed transmission meaning no dip stick. You can access a filler hole if you put the car on a lift. It has a A5S 560Z transmission. It drives like it needs oil. A new transmission installed with 2 year warranty quoted to me was $4600 dollars. Or find a used one somewhere, or...

E34 Tow Bar by [email protected]
Some E34 come with a removable tow bar, as an option, with a removeable pannel, if you have an E34 without the pannel, is the fitting still there? So if you brought an E34 tow bar you could fit it? Or would you have to have a after market tow bar fitted?

I'll be putting it up on a lift tomorrow and hope I can find the problem but I'm looking for advice here. The car has developed what I can only describe as a hop type vibration in the drivetrain. I can...

E34 front damper by Dan Buchan
Anyone replaced a front damper on an E34? (1991 525i M50.) How difficult was it? Euro Car Parts have a Bilstein for £42 and a Boge/Sachs for £52. Any preferences? I think Boge was OEM. The part is £105 from BMW and they couldn't tell me who made it. English damper = US shock absorber
