UK BMW warranties..... by
Paul Aspinall
Hi
I have had BMW's for 7 years.
2 740 Sports, and now a 745Li
All my cars have been kept under BMW extended warranty, after the initial
warranty expired.
Several months ago, I contacted the supplying dealer of my 745Li, and asked
about extended warranties. They told me that I could purchase 3...

Opinions on the BMW 7 series 95 to 01? by
Mark Amero
Hello everyone!
I am looking at purchasing either a 740I or 740IL from the model year 1995 -
2001. I would love some feed back from those of you out there who either
own or have experience with these cars. I have some questions.
What should I know when looking for a used one?
What are...

E46 Auto Trans mod by
Planar1
Back in the day, I would put a "shift kit" in my GM automatic transmissions.
Different springs and such in the valve body would quicken and firm the
shifts. I'd like to do the same thing on my 2001 E46 330ci auto trans. The
shifts are dreadful, though working properly as far as I can tell. Does...

Parking brake handle (E36) by
B.S.
I just purchased a used E36 M3; the previous owner removed the stock leather
handbrake handle and put an aluminum aftermarket thing on. I would like to
put a stock handle back on. The BMW dealer doesn't sell just the handle -
you have to buy the whole lever assembly. So I did, thinking I'll just...

Want Bentley manual by
Bob
Does anyone have a copy to sell of the Bentley manual for the 1994 530i?
They are kind of expensive and maybe I can take one off your hands if
you no longer have a use for it. It's the E34.

4 Series an E90? by
Kevin Oberle
Howdy,
It's my understanding that the '06 3 Series coupe is to be relabelled as
the 4 Series. If so, will it retain the E90 designation?
For that matter, I'm uncertain of the designation for the current 5 Series,
is it the E60? Is that designation shared with the 6 Series?
Thanks,

1992 525i Touring MPG by
Scott
Hi everyone. I noticed some recent posts about MPG and I am getting about
18.5 MPG city driving, thats with the A/C on a good deal of the time now
since summer is here. Highway driving is better of course. The touring
wagon is an auto with a recently rebuilt transmission, however it did sit
for...

Where's the CD player wiring? by
Fritz Wagner
Hello!
I was looking through eBay listings trying to find a
BMW-Alpine compatible 6 disk cd player and found
several at reasonable prices. Apparently all one does
is mount the bracket for the cd unit in the trunk and plug in the
power and socket connectors.
So I open up my little 1998...

Republican Ripoff by

How modest. Actually, the lack of convertible tops will grind the entire
world economy to a halt.

Replacement ideas for the rubber duck on the '02 version E46 convertibles?
This one's gotta go.
Or, should I just pony-up and get the Sirius option?

How difficult is it replace the motor? The window is stuck halfway up. I
looked in the service manual and was a little intimidated by the process
for removing the glass and adjusting it afterward.
Also: is there a way to manually close the window? I'd like to do that
temporarily until I can...

Is it a big job to make a post 2003 E46 look the same as the original?
Detailed changes were made with ugly oriental style lights and kidney grille
replacing the elegant look.

(Non) Height-Adjustable Seatbelts by

Apparently, the seatbelts on newer BMW models such as the X3 & the new

seatbelts.

perfect on the standard suspension - drives like a more agile X5 & yes
