Tires tires tyres by
Theoldman
I had an '88 auto equipped with Goodyear then with replacement Dunlops
The Dunlops provided really good traction and the cornering was far
superior to the Goodyears. It really took a lot of effort to spin the
tires with the Dunlops and the car turned top times in the quarter.
I now have an '00...

Have to use 93 Octane ? by
Vern
Folks,
I have aa 92 C4 LT1.....the manual and gas filler area both say to use
premium. Anybody have any experience using lower octane safely ? I mean
it $6 a tank more to use premium, which is worth it ti prevent an early
engine rebuild. I have about 124K on mine.
Thanks, Vern

C4 - problem with reverse donut screw coming loose by
haigoo
hello
I have a C4 6-speed which has a pro blem with the screw for the reverse
donut. It keeps coming loose. Every time I want to put the car in
reverse, I have to tighten it with a hex racket.
How can I fix this? Would a new screw help or do I have to get a new
shifter?
Any advise?

Question...this group has 'talked' quite a bit about the advantages of
have non-run flats tires. One of the points brought up was that the tire
pressure should be keep a little higher than the 30psi recommended for

ZO6 Brakes by
Spud
I have an '04 ZO6. The brakes work well, but squeak at low speed and they
make a ton of black brake dust.
Does anyone have a recommendation for pads that won't squeak and that don't
dust?
Thanks, Ed

C4 Corvette vs newer Camaro by
rebco10
I have never driven an ss camaro so I have no idea. I do love the c4
corvette. I know about all the shortcomings as well.
Anyway, Down and dirty, any driving comparisons between a newer camaro
and a c4 corvette.
My neighbor just pulled up in a 2000 SS and it does look very nice.
Kind of bulky...
