Tracie
Hello. I have a 2006 Wrangler X with the 6-speed manual tranny and
Dana 30 in the front and 35 in the rear with the 3.07 gearing. I will
be putting a 3.5 inch Rubicon Express lift on it with 33 X 12.5
tires. Here is the question that I am not sure of:
My stock rims are 15 X 7. I know I need a...

Aftermarket bumpers and winches - compatability? by
griffin
I've got a '99 TJ Sport with an 8000lb Champion winch on the front mounted
into the stock tow hook holes. Will the double-tube hoop bumpers fit with
the winch on (such as the Smitty Bilt ones)? Any I should avoid for sure?
Any that fit for sure?
Thanks!

93 Cherokee run 15 min then dies by
[email protected]
My dad has a 93 Cherokee Sport 4.0 L, 135K in good condition. We are
both Jeep owners. His Jeep started dying after about 15 minutes of
running. The ignition turns on, all power to everything, the jeep
turns over, but will not start. He replaced a broken heater hose
several days ago and now...

TJ jeep gas line by
snowboardripper
I have a 2002 TJ 6 cylinder and I need to disconnect the fuel line at
the fire wall. Does anyone have a procedure on how to do this. How
does the quick disconnect come off? If it is removed do any new
parts have to be replaced on the connector or will it be ok? When I
remove it, how much gas...

You remind me of a little rat dog, like the Mexican Chiwawa, with its
senseless barking it's rabid head off, me too, me too. And par. it's too

routine maintenance question by
[email protected]
My jeep is about to turn 60,000 miles, and there is a bunch of
routine service stuff recommended in the manual, such as changing
transmission fluid and differential fluid. That much is fine and
dandy, and I'm going to hire the local jiffy lube to just change all
the fluids and things that need...

gearing change for a CJ2A by
Rootworker
Some years back I had a '47 CJ2A, and am currently considering getting
another (a '48). My recollection is that the stock gearing was somewhere
around 5.13 or so, and I'm wondering whether it's possible/feasible to
replace those with maybe a 3.08 or even 2.73 set for better mileage and the...

Advice please: '90 YJ Conversion by
Garrett
Hello,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a complete conversion guide
for a '90 YJ?
I'm kind of new to it all, but I'm hoping to upgrade the following,
along with anything else required to do so:
-locking differentials (do I need these for both front and rear?),
also probably axle...

Instrument panel lights not working by
[email protected]
Just bought an '03 Wrangler and drove the 1000 mile journey home with
no instrument panel lights (Headlights, tail lights, gauges and
warning lights all work fine). After googling the issue, I proceeded
down the path of tracing out the issue.
- Fuses were all ok (replaced them anyway)
- Bulbs work...

M38A1 -- Idle's OK, Stalls on Acceleration by
steve.newhouse
Hi,
I have a '53 M38A1 with what seems like a very "diagnosable" issue.
The engine was rebuilt about 3 years ago and has a the correct carb.
I leave it in MA during the winter, so it sits for about 8 months at a
time before being driven again during the summer.
On to the symptoms:
The car was...

FS: Seats from '82 Scrambler by

I've replaced my '82 Scrambler front seats, but the old ones are not
that bad. They're about 9 or 10 years old. Note that two of the

FF: Fairlead and original CJ hub locks by
[email protected]
I've been upgrading stuff on my '82 Scrambler, and I've got some parts
left over that someone can have. I'm posting here a day before I post
to the free lists.
1) Metal fairlead for a Warn winch: http://webpages.charter.net/michael.white/fairlead.jpg
2) Pair of original hub locks with almost...

Steering woes by
jbjeep
Well, the shop got the new track bar today, they went to put it on, and low and
behold my Currie steering is also bent. Tie rod is bent out (away from the axle),
drag link is bent, like you would expect, at the joint where the tie rod attaches.
Now what? Who's is better than Currie?
