P0171 and P0174 by willie
I have a 2002 Ford Ranger - 4.0 L with 67,000 miles. Keep getting the codes P0170 and P0174 fuel banks too lean. However, engine does not run rough at all, and no hard starts. Thought that it may be clogged fuel injectors, but that was not the problem. Now thinking that it may be sensors. ...

1991 Mustang GT by William Everette via CarKB.com
Wife said car(and I verified) that she lost speed control, got a check engine light, and the transmission doesn't want to respond correctly (ex. slow to engage when accelerating after having slowed down for an off ramp, or speeding up to pass). First engine scan gave the following errors: KOEO...

Supercharger on 5.0 "GT" engine by William
I have the crate GT-40 engine in my '88 notch back coupe along with other goodies (MAC shorties, BBK cats, aluminum driveshaft, Auburn 3.83, 32 spline axles, 4-wheel disk brakes, etc.). I'd like to know if I should O- ring the heads prior to installing a (approx) 14LB boost supercharger. Mr. Bill

8.8 disassembly by William
If one only needed to change one singe alxe, what would be the cheapest easiest procedure for swapping them? My son decided to steal my wifes car, slamming into something and shattering the rim, rotor, and bending the rim-mounting flange. I have ordered the correct axle but have never been inside...

Mustang driver hits 150 mph outside Glenwood Springs, troopers give up chase by Will Your Prius Do This?
An unknown motorist hurtled west along Interstate 70 outside of Glenwood Springs early Friday morning, driving a dark-colored, older-model Mustang so fast that state troopers couldn’t get a read on its license plate. The driver was going 140 mph on a stretch of Interstate 70 about 10 miles...

67 rear backspacing for largest tire by Will
I have heard that 255/60/15s can fit on the back of a 67 coupe, but my 4 1/4" backspace cragers leave the tire sticking out past the fender. Does anyone know if I can have more backspacing, if so, what is the most I can have. Also, what would allow me to fit this tire?

Got new wheels, now brakes shudder by Will
HI, I got new wheels for my 67 mustang and I am pretty sure they were put on with a torq stick to prevent overtightening and therefore warping of the drums, but still when I stop the brakes and brake pedal shudder to the point where I am scared to drive. Could this be something else or does this...

67 raised rear suspension to fit bigger tires? by Will
HI, I bought some 255/60 rear tires for my 67 coupe, after recieving completley incorrect advice about tire fitment, and now they stick outside of the fender where if I lowered the car off the lift the lip of the fender would cut into the top of the tire. Could I raise the rear suspension so the...

2001 Mustang - Fuel Pump Options by Wildatom
Hello! My 2001 mustang 3.6 fuel pump died. I've looked at the local auto stores and only one carries such a pump for $190 (comes with straner, fuel sender and other parts I already have from the old unit). Is there a pump out there I can just replace the current one with (model number and place to...

Hello all. Maybe some of you remember me from a couple years ago. My name was RioRedGTS. Remember it had gotten burned down by a jeep that caught fire by my car? Then I got the replacement 95 GT and that too was stolen 2 months later. Any of you remember that? Well, then got it fixed and...

Has anyone with a 68 installed leaf springs from Mustangs Plus in the last year or so? If so, how many leafs did you get and with which eye position? Also what is the distance from the center of the wheel to the top of the wheel opening? I can’t think of a good way of choose without a...

Any recommendations on a good chrome cleaner? I've got 33 yrs. of oxidization. I'm trying to clean the exterior door chrome molding. I've tried rubbing compound, goof off, "never dull" (which worked fantastically on the interior chrome) and a couple off the shelf 3m chrome cleaners. All cleaned the...
