Today's Run by
SteveH
Took the 75, freshly shod with some quite funky Marangoni tyres up to
the MOD training ground in the Epynt mountain.
Surprisingly traffic-free run and I can report that, although the
Marangonis aren't as grippy as P6000s, they're very forgiving, meaning I
was a lot more confident in getting a boot...

alfa 164 steering wheel removal by
Jan van Kempen
Hi,
Does anyone know how to remove the steering wheel in an Alfa 164 (1992, no
airbag)?
Can I just pull off the centre section with the alfa-emblem? I cannot see
any bolts or other fixings..
I guess underneath is a centre bolt in the steering column. After removing
this bolt I can pull off the...

75 Twin-Spark system by
SteveH
Can someone point me to a resource which will explain exactly how this
works, please?
Would I be right in assuming that the engine isn't meant to run on just
the distributor mounted on the end of the cam?
I'm sure I've got the leads on properly, 'cos I can swap the caps over
and get the engine...

Took the 75 down to Castle Combe for the Alfaholics track day earlier -
came home at 1pm-ish , so only saw the morning sessions.
But I did get some photos whilst I was there.....

Time the change the Alfa by
DJ[_2_]
Hi all,
Its time to change my first alfa, my beloved 03 166 2.5 V6 :-(
I have had the car from new and its been the best car I have owned, but as a
business driver its got nearly got 60,000 on the clock so I suppose I need
to sell it
before the mileage gets to high.
This give me a real...

Decision time by
R D S
Right then.
I have been told I will get approx £600 for my Alfa as is.*
However, a mechanic who seems to have a good rep and seems (yes I know,
seems, but I am not mystic meg) to know his stuff with many years of
specialising in Alfa's can get me an engine and fit it for about a grand.
The...

156 sump plug leak by
[email protected]
Hi folks
I've noticed patches of oil have appeared under my 156 and I'm told
the sump plug is leaking. I've been quoted £135 (inc vat) so far... is
this reasonable? (I'm assuming that the thread has gone in the hole in
the sump.)
My usual Alfa specialist doesn't have the tool for this... anyone...

Might be worth a punt - whip the lump out, stick it in yours and break
the rest on ebay before weighing in the shell.
Result: one fixed car and a wad of cash.

Leaky Radiator on Alfa 156 JTD by
tbrick18
I have a problem with my 156.
I got a leak which I though was the radiator. I could see the water
leaking through the grill at the front of the car. I bought a new
radiator and when I began to disassemble the slam panel I realised
that there are 2 radiators in the front of the car. The new...
