'13 Shelby To Get S/C'd 5.8 by
[email protected][_2_]
Seems the final decision was grow the existing 5.4 to 5.8 and keep it
supercharged. Horsepower swells from 550 to at least 600.

But I have to wonder when the old modular gets exchanged for the...

'65 - '66 suspension by
Jeffrey Davison
What needs to be done to the '65 - '66 to make them the best "track"
car? Ride quality is not as important as handling.
After market bits available? best springs and socks? Anyone here of an
independent rear suspension conversion?
Thanks people

'65 coupe 6cyl tranny issue by
Andrew Croft
Hi everyone,
Now that the weather in Ontario is nice I have been driving my '65
coupe to work every day and I'm loving it!
Some recent engine work and carb tuning has made it enjoyable again!
Still, as the engine gets hotter and hotter the transmission begins to
slip. Slip to the point of... if...

'65 fastback and engine size by
japhar81
So I've been working on rebuilding a '65 fastback for the last three years.
Haven't gotten that far yet, but I finally have the money and time to really
get into it.
Anyway, I was just thinking, just how big an engine can I cram in to the
engine compartment? I was looking at the ford racing 514...

'65 Fastback Rear Seat Installation by
Steve Battles
I'm reinstalling the interior of my fastback. I dismantled it almost
20 years ago. Yeah, one of those long drawn out restorations.
Anyway, I'm trying to install the rear "shelf" unit. It's the part of
the fold down rear seat that's closest to the "trap door" near the
trunk. I can't figure out how...

'65/66 fastback over '03 Cobra chassis by
Scott Moseman
In my latest Car Craft there's a picture from a car show of a yellow '65
fastback body installed over a '03 Cobra chassis. '03 Cobra drivetrain
and suspension, but the '65 fastback design. That's AWESOME. I wish it
was a car they were doing a full spread on, I would love to hear more
about...

'66 289 improvements... by
Shayne
I have said engine in my carport, destined for my Pinto. It's been
years since it was removed and has been garaged (7 years, I think).
Since I'm going to rebuild it anyway, what kinds of mods are good for
power gains with minimum $$$ spent? I'm looking for power gains, but
nothing outrageous -...

'66 Brake Upgrade by
.boB
Well, I decided it was time to upgrade my ’66 Coupe.
Nothing fancy, no blowers or NOS (yet). Anyway, every
old car like this needs better suspension, brakes, and
steering before adding more power. This is a daily
driver street car, and certainly not a race car. I
also didn’t want to spend...

'66 broken motor mount by
vbrink
I had the driver's side motor mount repaired on my daughter's '66
mustang. Within 30 days the motor mount broke (the original passenger
side mount didn't break). When mount broke, the engine torqued, ruined
the brand new radiator, and the new paint job on the hood.
After the new motor mount was...

'66 mustang - help! by
rw
I've just returned from a long trip to find that my wife bought my
soon-to-be 18-year-old daughter a '66 mustang for her upcoming birthday.
It looks to be in nearly perfect condition from the outside. I'm
embarrassed to say, however, that I cannot figure out how to open the
hood, and I don't even...

'66 Mustang Clutch Linkage by
[email protected]
I just installed headers on my 289, which is great, but now I have
noticed that there is some kind of bushing missing from the clutch
linkage that is causing it to drop down and hit the new header on that
side. Do any of you know what it is called and where I can get one?
Thanks,
Mike

'66 Mustang drum -> power front disc conversion by
rw
I'm planning to convert my '66 Mustang to power-assist front disc
brakes. Here's the link to the parts for the mod, from Mustang Depot of
Las Vegas:
http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCatalog/Brakes/SSBC/a120d.htm
Is this a good mod? Is the price ($1029) reasonable? Is Mustang Depot
reputable?...

'66 overcharging by
Mark C.
I'm ready to drive my just completed '66 coupe restomod however I can't
because the system is overcharging. When I start the car the ammeter pegs
and the voltage is pushing 16 and goes higher when the engine is revved up.
Needless to say I don't run it very long fearing it may start blowing...
