Passed inspection! by pws
My 1991 turbo miata passed the new emissions test in my area with flying colors. I was worried there, but it is running cleaner than it needs to for passing the test. I guess that the 3 inch catalytic converter is doing it's job. I am pretty certain that the car would have failed if it had been...

Head Gasket by Gary
'91 Miata and head gasket. Is this an expensive job to replace? Also is it advantageous to use a OEM Mazda part or should I consider an alternative gasket?

took the NB plunge! by Chris D'Agnolo
Oh boy, I really did it! I found a low milage (39k) 1999 base model for the right price and picked it up tonight! I'm rather excited but I'll try not to blather on too much in this one post. This one has a Jackson Racing header and a monster-flow intake (beautiful growl with the pedal down,...

2002 MX5 Transmission noise by The Invisible Man
I have never seen it mentioned here but my 1.8 has a whine apparently from the transmission at low revs mainly in the lower gears particularly when the throttle is feathered. About 25,000 recorded miles. Anyone got a similar noise or know what it is? Thanks for any help

what is my recourse? by dww
I have a 2003 protege, which I have had dealer serviced at the Mazda dealership I purchased it from (call them Dealer A). I have agreed to all service they have recommended, which on my last couple visits has run into a substantial sum of money as my mileage approached 40K. This year they...

Another Clutch Sound by Dave Christian
I've got a '90 Miata and the other day while driving I felt something hit my left foot. When I stopped, I found what looked like a broken, plastic washer. There are three things I notice 1. When I depress the clutch, it makes a "click." 2. The clutch has more play in it.

HelP! AC stopped working on '97 by Tony
Out of the blue, my AC stopped working on my 1997 Miata (30k miles). The little blue AC light still comes on when I press the button, but no cold air flows. The car was in storage for about 1 month, with a trickle charger. It started just fine. I tested it at various speeds and there is definitely...

Leaking Windshield Seal by John Bevan
Not for the first time, but especially during recent deluges here in the northeast (12 inches on one day), has water has finished up in the passenger footwell of my wife's 90 Miata. The surprising thing is that, at first, all she hears is water sloshing around behind the instrument panel cowling...
