rFactor demo - any fix? by
[email protected]
I can no longer run the rFactor demo on my pc, as the time
limitting/copy protection code (Trymedia) disabled the program when I
manually changed the date on my pc. This "bug" was acknowledged by ISI
on the RSC forums a few weeks ago, and they stated that they are
working to resolve the problem. ...

Problems with Wheel and Rbr demo by
Xander Vlasveld
Hi,
I thought I should try the rbr demo, and I looks very interesting.
So, I looked up my ancient Thrustmaster Formula T2 wheel (analog, with
separate pedals for throttle and brake)
Removed the dust from the wheel and hooked it up to my precious game station
(pc).
Added and calibrated it in...

Nascar 2003 Textures by
Zog Weaver
This happened to a buddy of mine, fuzzy dash and gauges. Turned out it was
a problem with the TextureSetSize variable in the rend_dxg.ini file. The
information below was copied directly from a post by Bill Anderson to this
newsgroup some time ago. It should solve your...

GTR: You must be kidding me by
graycat
I just tried the GTR v2 demo and man what a piece of junk! It would not load
properly and when it did it would not calibrate my wheel. What I did manage
to see looked like a very bad arcade game. As far as I can tell, GPL is
STILL the best. What a disappointment.
If I am missing something, someone...

A poor quality example of why GT5 is so addictive by
Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
My cheap LCD filmed by my lousy camera... Not a recipe for success. But maybe my
barely controlled lap at the Ring will show non PS3 owners why I have been
converted by the Sony Borg.
So much of GT5 is a disappointment. But this really does feel as good to drive as
it looks in the...

A world without GPL????????? by
Byron Forbes
With rFactor now the most central part of sim racing, it seems to me
that one of the hurdles for it to overcome is convincing the public of the
authenticity of it's "Mods" - both the tracks and particularly the cars that
will be depicted via rFactor but created via 3rd parties. Will it be
perceived...

"The Regulars" starts 7th year with new season by
mcewena
"The Regulars" have been running since the fall of 2001 and when the
season opens in Mosport Oct 4th it will be our 7th year of running
open wheelers.
We've stuck with low power cars that don't require hours of setup
fiddling before each session and have a proven handicapping formula
that allows...

What's the purpose of vanishing cars in iRacing? by
Rob P
Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but in a race yesterday I got some
good acceleration out of a corner and moved in for an overtake. As I got
nearer the opponent's car just disappeared which was very disconcerting. At
this point I realized there is probably a high chance that said...

Secrets of FFB by
Mario Petrinovic
For a long time I am searching for the correct way to setup FFB, and
finaly I got it. To set things rightly, I first have set my FOV correctly,
the hight of screen correctly, and latency (it turned out that this wasn't
necessary) correctly. I determined the latency very low, at 0.000715 in...
