The good old days by
L Sternn
Driving home from work today in 102 degree heat with the top down and
a 12-pack of beer by my side, I longed for the good old days when it
would have been legal for me to break that 12-pack open and have a
cold one while I sat in traffic.
Sigh....
So, instead I had to drive 90 miles an hour so I...

Oversized brakes by
[email protected]
I would like to install oversized front rotors/brakes on a 2002 Ford
Taurus SEL. The car has great sized brakes as it is, but for mountain
driving with a carload of passengers it's a bit edgy even with the
transmission out of overdrive.
Does this aftermarket part exist? I realize it's probably...

Another Regional Difference by
Scott en Aztlán
Here in the ArkLaTex, the "hot" vehicles are mid 80s GM vehicles,
especially Oldsmobiles. Rusty '85 Cutlasses with bling-bling wheels,
vinyl tops, and tinted windows are EVERYWHERE - and ricemobiles are
few and far between. They still like stickers, though - only instead
of saying "Bilstein" or...

Long term parking near nyc by
[email protected]
Dear All,
I'm visiting new york city for the summer, and need a place to
store/park my car for three months. I don't care how far away from nyc
the parking/storage place is, as long as nyc is accessible by public
transportation. I would like the parking garage to be in a safe place
where I won't...

Poorly setup stop light by

I've ranted about this light previously - Its infront of a middle school
entrance and usually is on flash except during the time that the school
is opening or letting out.
See here (http://tinyurl.com/atuw3) for an overview of the intersection
in the center of the picture. The school is on the...

Lighting question - different from most. by
[email protected]
Most folks want to know about the front end of the car WRT lighting
issues. Not me. I want to know about tail lamp and brake bulbs.
Which brand/manufacturer makes the brightest brake and tail lamp bulbs?
I need to do a replacement on one, so I figure to replace them all at
once. They are all...

right or priviledge ... at what point do you assert? by
vlj
All,
States maintain that riding/driving a motor vehicle on public rights-of-way
is a "privilege" granted by the "State" but there is considerable debate
that free persons have a right of travel that cannot be removed unless by
due process.
So far, the task of becoming licensed has been...

need tyre pressures for Kangoo 1.7D van by
pbhj
I bought a kangoo van recently but don't have a service manual. Anyone
know where I can get a cheap (online?) copy.
Also, short term - anyone happen to know the standard tyre pressures
for a Kangoo van. The tyres say max 50psi, but this sounds very high!!
Thanks

Maybe and maybe not. The headlamps on that model aren't very good.

Which unmodified new cars have more than 400 HP, are generally

As a back-up question, which unmodified new cars generally available
can get from 0 to 60 in less than 6 seconds and cost less than $40,000?
