US/Canada timing belt interval scam? by Bob Morris
In the US the recommended interval for timing belt change for a 91 Accord is 100,000 miles. Correct? In Canada it is 100,000 km. Correct? But, 100,000 miles = 160,000 km. Are Canadians being scammed? Forget about conditions.

94 Civic: handbrake failure on one side by Abeness
I finally had an opportunity to investigate the handbrake problem I raised some weeks ago. Not as simple as I would've hoped. I've got rear disc brakes, so the handbrake cable attaches to the "parking brake arm" as described in the service manual (p. 19-5). This arm apparently attaches to a shaft...

92 Accord LX parking lights remain on by Andy M - Tampa Bay
Have a problem with my 92 Accord LX. Rear parking lights and brake lights (excuse my beginner's terminology) remain on all the time and won't go off. Even if the car is off, keys are out, the lights remain on. I've tried to pull the brake pedal out a bit, and also tried pushing it in all the...

2002 Honda Civic Si/SiR hatch steering creaking by JP
Hi, I have a 2002 Honda Civic SiR (or Si in US), and it has been having steering problems: on launching, or at low speeds when the throttle is applied, there is a creaking sound coming from inside the dash. The sound is similar to an old door opening where the hinges need oil. Some times it...

reduced mileage after new cap rotor and PCV valve by disallow
I replaced my cap, rotor, and PCV valve with Honda parts about 3 weeks ago on my 98 civic 5spd. I noticed a big difference in acceleration. So I gave myself a week to enjoy the newfound peppiness, and then started driving normally again. My mileage is definitely worse than it was before. Before...
