FS: 97 Explorer motor complete with GT40 Heads $650 Georgia by
Steve Brooks
I have a 97 Explorer motor complete from oil pan to valve covers. It has
GT40 heads (not GT40P heads). I have it stored inside and all openings
(intake exhaust, etc) have been covered. It has approximately 70K miles.
The heads alone are worth $400. I was going to install the engine in my...

electronic throttle? by
Bill Jones
The December issue of Road & Track has a great review on the '05 Mustang GT.
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=1662
In it, the reviewer says,
"Response for the first few hundred rpm off idle is soft, the result of only
281 cubic inches, two tons of all-up weight...

general resto questions....outside in or inside out by
Jeffrey Davison
Just got my '66 fb and am now plotting and planning. I don't intend to
do a full frame off. One reason is very limited space availabilty. I ask
thee that have tread this path before.
Is it better to do the body / interior first working to improve the
mechanicals (susp, brakes, driveline) or is it...

New Mustang -> new Camaro by
Grumbler
Given the huge demand/low supply of the new
2005 Mustangs, one can only surmise that GM
will seriously consider resurrecting the defunct
Camaro based on the '69 model as that's the
most desirable one AFAIK.
FWIW, have always loved the 67-73 Camaros,
with mixed feelings about the 74-81 versions...

Californian busybody telling Canada about cars by
RichA
They are pushing for higher pollution control standards
and fuel efficiency big time. With the move toward bigger
engines wanted by consumers, and larger vehicles for the
most part, this is obviously difficult.
What I do not want is legislation forcing people in Canada
to drive tiny, fuel...

Considering trading in for 2005 GT by
Jeff
Well, I had no intentions of trading in my 01 GT for several years yet but
I find myself looking more and more into the new 2005. It wouldn't be
until spring though; no way I'm buy a car just before winter.
Anyone in Canada, Ontario specifically, get the new 05 GT?
I'd like to know how much lower...

Patrick
I was going to direct this just at 180 Out, but I'm curious about what
others think too. Please chime in.
- How many of you are now picking up Hemming's Muscle Machine
magazine?
- How many think it's the best auto magazine on the rack?

Seems Detroit is tired of trying to out Japanese the Japanese and
instead are increasing going back to doing it the American way.
Proof:
Dodge's Viper
Dodge's V10s
GM's LS1 and LS2 pushrod V8s
GM's Corvette
Chrysler's 5.7L and 6.0L Hemis

Best exterior color during heat waves by
Grumbler
Silver is the best color for deflecting heat. Significantly
better than white, even. Silver has the most reflecting
properties. On a hot summer day, touch a white car,
and then touch a silver car - you'll feel the difference.
Don't touch a black car, though - 'cause you'll get hurt!
Rebuttals...
