Trickle charge ? by RideRT
What is the best way to connect a trickle charger - like a Battery Tender - to the Miata ? I know the cigarette lighter is disconnected when the ignition is off, that would have been ideal... Looking for a professional and permanent connector I can use when my car is hibernating. Thanks.

Rear drain problem(?!) by USAROVER
On my Miata that is...The rear pass. rain rail drain has come undone from it's perch. Will I have to remove most of my interior to reattach? I can almost get it back in to place, but I don't think there is anything to hold it place now. John Breslin '91 Classic Red, 104K Kentucky, U.S.A.

Battery conditioner - where in UK by Hugh
Hi All Our MX5 struggles in winter through lack of use from time to time. Where can I get a good battery conditioner to leave on all the time? I ordered one from AirFlow early in December but had to cancel because they still cannot give a supply date. Thanks in anticipation.

Airflow meter replacement? by Don Benton
In my search for the best solution to getting colder air past my turbo and into the engine, I've been vexed by the size of the stock airflow meter. While perusing photos of an aftermarket intake, I noticed the absence of the stock meter, which seems to have been replaced by a much smaller...

Is winter a better time to go Miata shopping? by Rivergoat
With my daily driver Honda getting more and more problems, I'm hoping other problems at the work place get resolved soon and I can actually think of making a move. I was wondering if a fun/roadster/ragtop is easier to snare in the bad weather season rather than in the summer. Eh?

Alignment Specs by L Bader
Lanny, Leon, et al. -- I just put the FM Springs and a set of AGXs on my '97. Afterward, I went to a local garage that was willing to allow me to "ride" while I had the car aligned. Unfortunately, they were unable to match Lanny's Alignment Specs. Here is what I wound up with:

turbo engine pics by pws
Here are a few engine pics from my latest car. There is quite a bit of room to work in there since there is no A/C, power steering, cruise control, etc. Even the windshield reservoir tank has been removed to make room for aftermarket parts. My '96M had the reservoir relocated to the lower driver...

Water pump flange o-ring leaks by bokuglen
I recently did a timing belt replacement, and did the water pump at the same time. Everything worked fine, but after about 10 miles, the water pump flange o-ring started leaking like crazy. I thought it was on ok when I pushed the flange on, but now I can see it is hanging out of the groove a...

Replacing fuel filter by Dave Smith
I want to replace the fuel filter in my '97 Miata. I looked on line and could only find a description of the procedure for a '90 with the 1.6 engine. The replacement procedure looke WAY more complicated than I expected and I'm a bit reluctant to try it as I don't have much in the way of tools and...

Yokohama ES 100 tires by Randy Maheux
FWIW, I've had my Yokohama ES 100 tires (205-45/16) for a 10 days now and thought I'd report back. I haven't gone up in the mountains yet, but in spirited city driving that they seem at least as "sticky" as the Bridgestone Portenza's they replaced. They have also done well in our recent...
