1999 CRV: Modify Cig Lighter to "always on" by Thomas G. Marshall
I want to switch over my CRV's cigarette lighter, or perhaps that front auxiliary power thing in the footwell, to run from the battery directly, bypassing the ignition relay. I want the CRV to behave like my /other/ cars, and allow cell-phone charging even when ignition is off. Is this best done...

need advice on service for accord lx 2001 by curious
Hello, My accord just hit 3 years and has 30K miles on it. I've had the oil changes done every 3 mos and recently had front brake pads replaced as well as air filter. What would you say are the most important 30K tasks to get done?

air bag computer stolen; expensive to replace? by Adam Megacz
So, some crackhead ganked my stereo, and apparently in his/her drugged-out haze mistook my air bag computer unit (right behind the stereo) for something that could be converted into drugs via a nearby pawn shop. How expensive is this unit? Anybody know where I can get one? This is a 1994 Prelude...

F-1 Calendar by Anna Lisa
ust thought I would let people know that if they are looking for a great Formula One calendar they should go to: www.conceptsi.com The calendar has a spectacular 17.7" x 21.5" format and the quality and contents of the photos is excellent. The photo of the BAR Honda at Monaco is excellent. The...

wtb: block heater for 93 Accord EX-R by monkey cow moon
wanted to buy: Honda block heater for a 1993 Accord EX-R. I can't seem to locate a genuine Honda block heater. My mechanic tells me that aftermarket block heaters may not fit properly and might pop out in extreme cold. Apparently in southern Ontario the aftermarket block heater might work but in...

84-87 Keihin 2 bbl carb (probably from honda prelude) by Wilfrid Dugas
I need an exploded view of this carburetor. Main and aux. barrels have different size jets but they are interchangeable. Any ideas where this info would be available. Dealers have little info now on carbs. This engine and carb is now being used in an aircraft. Cheers, WJD Canada

'97 Accord cracked exhaust manifold by Dick Gozinya
How much should it cost to replace an exhaust manifold in a '97 Accord? Are used manifolds worth pursuing? "I think that gay marriage should be between a man and a woman." -Arnold Schwarzenegger, during the California recall campaign

Stiff/sticky throttle by Crunchy Cookie
(Um, as an Accord owner, do I have the right to post general questions that apply to other cars?) I just bought a 98 240SX SE off Ebay. A little buyer's remorse here -- not as exciting as expected, a tad noisy, and not much different than my 95 200SX SE-R. Eh... One problem that I can't forgive...

Accord shake in rear when braking by Imminent Vengeance
Lately my '93 Accord with 217,000km (~ 135,000 miles) has been exhibiting a minor shake in the rear when I brake. It feels like it is moving slightly left and right, but not in a rapid motion. And it tends to be more pronounced when I go over a bump while braking. When accelerating or cruising,...

Civic Ex auto locks - has this happened to anyone? by Acertaingirl
Last week I washed and waxed my 2004 Civic EX for the first time. As I was running the towel over the car near the rear door lock, all 4 locks were triggered closed. Can static electricity cause this to happen? Luckily the keys weren't in the car or I would have been locked out (temporarily...

Idle Fluctuation by Chopface
Hello, I've got a '91 Civic Si with the stock 1.6L MPFI setup and a manual tranny. I put an AEM cold air intake on in August and I don't suspect any problems from it directly. It has 136k miles and is well maintained as of late (IMHO). Over the past few days the car has developed an idle problem....

Gas mileage Accord V6 by Dave
I have been getting about 180-200 miles per tank and i have only had the car a week and I have had to fill up 2 times. So I inquired at the dealer as to what the problem could be. Their answer was to adjust tire pressure and have my fuel injectors cleaned. Its a 2002 Honda Accord Ex-L V6 and its...

civic won't start after timing belt change-HELP! by Ropert's Aloha
Well just when I thought I'd did good, I must have messed up. I(a backyard looser mechanic) replaced my timing belt and water pump on my 91 Civic Hatch 1500cc. After a successful ordeal getting the crankshaft pulley bolt off, I thought I had made it. Well I must have messed up when I put the T-belt...
