The $5,000,000 'Cuda by RichA
Check out that traditionally GM rag, "Hotrod" this month. About a year ago I read a story about a guy who was arranging to buy a Hemi 'Cuda out of France. The car had actually been built and shipped to France in 1971. At the time I read the story, the fellow had apparently paid $700,000 pounds...

CD Stuck in Changer by Max C. Webster III
I have a 2001 GT with the stock in-dash six-disc changer. I tried to eject a disc today (it has to go back to the library), and it would not come out. I've had this happen before, and once the cabin temperature cooled down, the disc came out. This isn't happening this time. I can see the disc...

Won't start.. by Ravnos
Ok, I just bought a '92 5.0 Hatchback a couple months ago. I go out Tuesday and it won't start. Makes a slight clicking noise when I turn the key. Got power to the dash, headlights and such, it just won't start. Today I go out and there's nothing, no power, no clicking just dead. The Battery is...

Another "alternate fuel" shot down in flames by RichA
"There is just no energy benefit to using plant biomass for liquid fuel," says David Pimentel, professor of ecology and agriculture at Cornell. "These strategies are not sustainable." Pimentel and Tad W. Patzek, professor of civil and environmental engineering at Berkeley, conducted a detailed...

97 A/C not working by [email protected]
The A/C on my 97 V6 stopped working. I did a search on this topic and one guy suggested it might be the compressor clutch coil. Where is the clutch coil and is it easy to replace myself? I'm assuming this may be my problem if I'm getting 12V to the compressor.

'99 engine in a '98 Mustang? by Sunset Sam
There is a '99 3.8 - 5 speed engine and trans with 40,000 miles for sale for $500. What are the compatibility issues involved with putting this engine in my '98? I don't currently have any problems with my engine. I just thought for $500 it'd be good to have it for the future. If I kept my...

Air Conditioner Will Not Work by obie
My 93 Mustang hasn't been working for a while. Once in a while it will work for about 15 or 20 minutes and then no cool air comes out. But it doesn't work most of the time. I was wondering what causes the air conditioner not to work and what needs to be done to fix it.

Fuel Pump? by Sunset Sam
This post is a little off topic, but since I know there are some very knowledgable people here, and I'm here anyway, here goes. My G/Fs 2000 Cavalier wouldn't start the other day. It'd turn over just fine for a second or two then it'd sound real rough as it was turning over. You could actually...

Boxing control arms by Mark C.
I'm boxing my lower control arms on my '69 Mach 1 and was wondering if anyone can direct me to the proper method/pattern to box the uppers or if it's even necessary. I'm on a budget so tubular arms are out. Thanks. -- Mark -- "I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who once said, "I...

Does 2005 CD Player Fit in 2004 Mustang? by Matt
I just was wandering. I have a 2002 Mustang GT with standard 6 disk in dash changer. I want to be able to play MP3 disks in it. Will the 6 disk in dash changer that comes out of a 2005 Mustang and supports MP3's fit right in my 2002 or not? I was thinking of getting one off ebay. Matt

Impressed with Jag XKR convertible by roger
I was driving my 2000 GT 'vert to work today and came behind a really old dude driving a black Jag XKR with the top down. I'm not impressed with many other convertibles (ugly Sebrings or Lexus SC430s) but this Jag did look sweet.. I looked up the specs and this car has 390 horses (cost over...

Sniff Sniff, Scratch Scratch?!!! by Sunset Sam
Just an update. I went and talked to the local police about the possibility of them helping me out with their dog. They said they'd be glad to do it, but they let me know that their dog is an "active" dog, and when it finds a scent it starts clawing at the area. Some dogs are trained to...

If you have your choice... by RichA
What method of horsepower increase would you choose? -Supercharger. -Nitrous -More cubic inches -A more refined (upped compression, etc) motor? Personally, I think more cubes is the sensible path, owing to it's simplicity, but then bolting on a supercharger or nox bottle is perhaps easier. -Rich

Throttle adjustment on a 1998 3.8L Mustang by tarzan
What's the proper throttle adjustment on a 98 Mustang? I had a friend tweak the throttle a few months back when I had an 02 sensor issue. The sensor has since been replaced (check engine light off) so I was thinking the throttle adjustment could be out of sync. The pedal feels soft and the engine...
