Noisy tires by Bob W
I have a 1996 that I would like to replace the tires on. The tires I have on are still in good shape, but are very noisy, especially with the hardtop on. Can anyone out there suggest a brand that I can buy that can let me hear the radio while driving. I don't do any racing or heavy duty driving. ...

Air Bag Blink Codes by coolmiata
Hello all, I've got a 91 with 2 concerns: AirBag light blinks 4 times and sometime 5 time. According to the miata.net web site 4 blinks is a Faulty "S-sensor" and 5 blinks is a Faulty "D-sensor" What is an "S-sensor" and a "D-sensor"? Second problem is the headlights. When I turn on the lights...

Fuel economy by XS11E
It's been a little warm so I've had the AC running a lot and driving almost entirely in traffic. I just filled up today and the gas mileage is 27mpg for this last tank. Does this seem normal for a '92 with the 1.6 engine? It seems maybe a bit low to me, I'm wondering if it's time for new plugs...

91 Rear Window by Margarita Mike
I purchased a used 91 four years ago. Had an almost new top at the time. Now, the zipper has pulled away from window panel, tearing the window panel. Local shop said they could re-sew the top, but likely to tear again. ( I think they are right) What's a reasonable price for a new window/zipper? ...

2000 MPV LX Keyless? by 99trooper
Hello all, I am looking to purchase a 2000 MPV LX it seems like a good price but... The guy said there is no keyless entry. Didn't all the models from this year have keyless? If they didn't can't you still get a OEM key fob and just program it in (I would think the module is in the car). Also,...

94 1.8 rev limiter. by Mal Osborne
Read in a few places that the 94 1.8 is limited at 7000RPM. Mine seems to spin a bit further than this, looks like 7200 on the tacho. Anyone confirm what it really is?

WTB Link ECU for 1.6 w/ JRSC by [email protected]
I've recently had a JRSC installed in my '92 1.6 Miata. The car runs pretty well but the dyno runs show that there is some leanness between 2.4K rpm and 4.8K rpm. Also, it goes very rich at 5.4K rpm. I would like to correct this and I hear that the Link ECU is the way to go. If anyone has one of...

Replacing heater hose. by Mal Osborne
Just had my 94 drop a heap of coolant on the ground :(. Looks like the problem is a short heater hose, running from the firewall, to the back of the head, underneath the cam position sensor. Problem I have is getting to the head end clip. I can see it, but barely touch it, does not seem possible...

Outed on the 2006 model by pws
I made the mistake of sitting in a blue 2006 model today while picking up an oil filter. The evil saleperson asked if I wanted to take a test-drive. I was out of there in a flash, in my own 16 year old car. (my only consolation is my considerably better power to weight ratio and far superior...

Be careful when asking for directions - especially from cops by pws
They should have stuck with asking for directions at gas stations. At least then they wouldn't have a jackboot thug throw them into a cage for trying to find their way home. The story is below. Check out the video, these look like a couple real hoodlums that the fine Baltimore police are protecting...

how to remove 2006 radio by RP
My daughter has a 2006 MX5. She wants me to install the IPOD interface. It appears that the Neo SP interface will need to plug into the back of the radio but I cannot find instructs anywhere to accomplish this. Thanks very much! Ron

oh NOES!!!1! / the LISPmobile by Johnny Phenothiazine
Hi Miataphiles! The Sunday night before last I was taking a nice cruise to the grocery store with the top down, on a quiet two-lane road under canopies of oak trees, where the speed limit is 40 MPH. I had just come over a little hill, when suddenly I saw a flash of headlights in the...

Madza - lost of power when fuel tank below half by chryseloy
Hello, I notice last summer something strange about my car. I own a Mazda 626 Cronos 1994 4 cyl. auto. When the gaz tank is half full or less and that I take a rapid turn ( like a highway ramp at important speed ( above 60 km/h ) my RPM just fall down and it seems like there is no more fuel...
