FFB (December edition) by Mario Petrinovic
Well, I tested thoroughly Centering Spring at the position of 61%, and decided that 22% is better. It looks like Spring and Damper should be the same. Spring and Damper at 100% is too much, at 61% is too low, so, it'll be between 100 and 61.

How to balance FFB by Mario Petrinovic
Eureka, I finaly found the Holy Grail of FFB, : ). The problem with FFB forces is slack. I found the way to balance that slack. It's done with the Overall slider. On my system the slider should be at 138%. This way everything works as intended. I tried this with...

rF2: The quest for new ways to be miserable continues! by Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
Graphics: it's like a modding team took rF1 to the edges of what it was capable of. Good, if you were expecting a much improved rF1, but DX9 is capable of much better. The programmers here... well, they've tried their best, but unfortunately sometimes your best isn't really good enough. I had the...

FFB progress by Mario Petrinovic
Well, the discovery of calibration problem sped things up. Now I am having consistant results. I found out that Centering Spring should be as a result of multiplication of Overall and Spring/Dapmer (if those two are equal). So, for example, these settings are balanced: 125/80/80/100,...

The Continuing Story of FFB (episode 136) by Mario Petrinovic
Well, I corrected some things. The FOV and screen hight were wrong. FOV was 61, and should have been 57, while screen hight was 0.147000 (7.35%), while it should have been 0.141488 (7.0744%). It looks like FFB settings should be the default ones, so now I have 118/100/100/100. All...

FFB latency by Mario Petrinovic
Well, after I realised that the correct way to set FFB is to put all values the same, I reassessed the "cockpitLookDeadZone" value. It turned out that this value should be much lower than I previously thought. On my system it is somewhere around 0.002760. If your system is well trimmed...

New PC's FFB by Mario Petrinovic
Well, I got new PC, and there are some changes. On this PC I can clearly feel where I am regarding latency (cockpitLookDeadZone setting). Here, my latency definitelly is somewhere around 0.038500. Well, this has more sense than what I wrote previously. But, there are some changes, compared to...

rF2 updating by Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
(FolkGT) wrote: > As an aside, the update process in pCARS is so far bulletproof. Back when I was still paying attention to pCARS I too had no problems... though that was because I was installing it from scratch every time. :-) I decided to take a break for six months...

rF2 updating by Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
I've been pretty impressed by this in the past. But I've just spent an hour messing about trying to get myself updated from whatever the last version was to whatever the current version is and the end result was me rage-quitting and uninstalling the whole thing. I just couldn't get the updated mod...

Screen height and FFB by Mario Petrinovic
Well, once I've said screen height to FFB acts like going up or down with Center of Gravity. Well, this isn't so. Now I have r.Seat, and with it I have really good FFB feel. I previously had like three other combinations, and r.Seat gives me the best FFB feel. r.Seat is really solid, and...

any S.F. Rush arcade machines in Chicago area? by
hi, I am simply trying to find an old San Francisco Rush arcade machine to play (not buy) in the Chicagoland area. I've called Dave & Busters in the city on Clark St. but they don't have one, I also called a few other places such as the Roller Rink / Arcade in Gurnee Mills up in Lake County,...

I found the right FFB settings by Mario Petrinovic
Mario Petrinovic: Mario Petrinovic: Spring, Damper and Centering Spring have to be at the same value. Not any value, but at the value where slack is eliminated. At my system this happens at 82. So, my settings are 118/82/82/82. Now I relized why it was so difficult to find it. It is...

GPL audio problem by Luvrsmel
Anyone know what could be causing my cars to sound like they're buzzing? I installed GPLEA Engine Sounds and it worked really well for awhile. But then the sounds have gone awry and re-installing GPLEA hasn't helped at all. Thanks for any suggestions :)
