As we who THINK, knew all along.. by Backyard Mechanic
Amid the current panic about gas prices many people are embracing ethanol. But that's not such a good idea... http://www.businessweek.com/print/autos/content/apr2006/bw20060427_ 493909.htm -- Yeh, I'm a Krusty old Geezer, putting up with my 'smartass' is the price

Car troubles please help... by turbolover
My '95 mustang has a jerky acceleration when it warms up and car shakes when I'm sitting at red light. When I start the car it runs ok but it gets worse when the car warms up. I replaced spark plugs, put in injector cleaner into gas but that didn't help. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks

129,900 miles: check engine light by Scotter
Hey Fellow Mustangers - At approx 129,900 miles my "check engine" light came on and stayed on. Is this programmed into the computer to happen for all 96 Mustangs? Or... is there the possibility of something serious wrong with my engine? Either way I do plan on taking it in to the shop; I just want...

87-90 interior door handle stuck by Hollywood
On two of my fox body mustangs I have unfortunatley encountered (somehow at the same time...;sigh;) the driver's side interior door handle failure. I have had the actuator / and/or rod inside the door-mechanism come apart; although in this case the interior handles gave way and are now sticking out...

Which is A/C low-side on '96? by [email protected]
Can someone please tell me which port is the low-side on a 1996 mustang? Assume i'm a complete idiot and have no idea how A/C works. (Which is half-true -- i'll let you decide which half) Is it the port closest to the firewall or the radiator?

2005-2006 Mustang Plenum Cover Customizer Page by [email protected]
I found this at the site that Midwest Auto Gear has. They are in the process of redoing their web site. When I called them and asked them about it they said that what is on the site now is the early beta version. They will have a much different version that will show pricing for what you see on...

89 5.0 dies at stop lights by Brian Bunin
This may be similar to some things that were posted recently, but I'll go ahead and ask anyways.... Had the 89 Mustang (Automatic) out today and had something odd happen. Every time I approached a stoplight and hit the brakes to gently slow down, the engine would die very quietly around 5 mph....

2007 Shelby Mustang GT500 Engine Failures? by Tony Alonso
This was shown to be a failure on an early engine, not the one about to be put into production. Check The Mustang Source 2005 forums for a post by one of the regular contributing sales people. He is a knowledgeable and factual provider of information. Ðavïd wrote: >Dearborn, we may have a...

Do different-sized rear tires cause issues? (GT '94 Conv) by Matt
I have a 1994 Mustang GT convertible with 75k miles. After a returning from a trip to the body shop in which a tire was replaced, I realize that I have 2 different-sized rear tires. (The fronts are smaller then the rears, and the shop replaced the rear size tire with a tire of the same size as...

1965 factory GT coupe for sale by csilva79
This car has been in the family for about 15 years but we have to let it go before it reached its full potential. It is in pretty good shape, runs great, has current tags and inspection, needs a little body work, and a new coat of paint. Engine has been rebuilt, whole new suspension, disc brakes,...

Wax a new car? by Bill Jarrett
We just got a new 2006 Mustang and it our first new car in quite a while. Can you wax a new car? In the "old days" I seem to recall you advised not to wax to let the paint dry\cure. Can you "Zip" wash\wax it? Thanks

Follow-up '94GT dies by Richard
While I haven't had the car die while driving I've experienced starting problems. The tach will bounce up while cranking. That, as I understand the earlier suggestions, seems to rule out the ignition module. When it does start it starts instantly. Could the problem be in the ignition switch itself?...
