Removal of exhaust studs by JJW69Bug
After years of sitting in a mouse infested barn, my newly aquired 69 beetle project has a few tricky nuts and bolts. I was amazed how mouse urine can eat metal. 1 of my exhaust studs has the treads rusted off. I've tried to unscrew it with a vicegrip ( soaked it overnight with PB Blaster ) and...

Removing rear gear rod splitty by Phatman
Ok, is it possible to replace the rear shift rod on a 64 splitty without removing the engine and transmission? i.e. will it come out from the front, at the moment the handbrake bracket is in the way, but I wondered if removing it would be in vain. TIA -Steve

Update by JeffRens
I bought a NVIDEA 256mb AGP video card. It turns out the PC blow-up will be covered by homeowners. It'll pay out about $500 max which is exactly what I will have in the repair. Keep an eye out for a decent sound card and one of those refurbished hard drives. Thanks again.
