Fuel Mileage Sucks on '94 325 Convertable by

My old 325i (4-door) gave a consistant 25 combined mpg for the trips that I
make. I managed to slam the car into the side of somebody making an illegal
left turn, and replaced it with a convertable of the same year, 1994. The

I just saw an older BMW in the parking garage had leaked quite a large
volume of amber/brownish fluid (a quart or so). Quite a mess.
The question is this - what could this be? Engine oil? Power steering
fluid? Transmission oil?
Reason I'm asking is that I assume oil leaks are fairly rare...

Need help finding alignment jigs for cam alignment on a 740iL by
I am replacing a head on my '96 740iL, 4.4L and see that a series of
alignment tools that bolt thru a sparkplug hole in the back of each head
