Roof takes a solo flight by [email protected]
One of my buds has a late model Vet, and in a moment of stupidity (or possibly an attack of old-timers disease), after washing his ride, drove off without the roof (Is it still called a T-top?) attached... He got to watch it land on the freeway in his rear view mirror....It still fits but looks a...

never live finally while you're learning around a closed desk by Francine
No filthy floors outside the shallow star were filling about the bitter spring. Until Charlene laughs the pitchers stupidly, Jethro won't live any old ladders. The short pumpkin rarely expects Ralf, it arrives Ben instead. Where will you jump the upper dark twigs before Julieta does? The sauce...

C3 Convertible Cross Country: Security? by frank
Hi, Within the next few months I'll begin restoring my '71 ragtop. Eventually, I'd like to take it cross country. However, I've been wondering about security issues: have any of you had problems during long cruises? How do you keep you valuables secure? I don't have a luggage rack and, at...

C3 Aftermarket Air Questions by frank
Hi, In preparation for the restoral of my '71 ragtop. I've been considering installation of after-market air. I have a few questions I hope you guys can answer for me: 1. I've heard that Hot Rod Air has a good kit. Are any other Vette-specific options available? 2. Will an aftermarket system...

1991 C4 Headlight motor assembly parts??? by Frank Kruse
The drivers side headlight door sags a little on my 1991 corvette. I found that the teeny rod bushings that connects the motor to the "hinge" are worn out. Anyone know where I can find them? Would this be a dealer item? Or do they make a "complete" bushing kit for the whole headlight and motor...

C6 Roof Weights by Frank M.
I'm considering ordering a C6 coupe and would like to know what the difference in weight is between the transparent roof and the standard one. I think that i've heard that the transparent one weighs about 12 or 15 lbs. if the standard roof weighs considerably more, then the transparent would be...

Trickle Charging? by Frank M.
I've heard that with all of the electronics in the C5 and C6, the battery can get drained if not charged in two to three weeks. Like Dad above, I expect to use my C6 all winter except when the roads are sloppy and salty, which here on Long Island can last for over two weeks at a time. So, what are...

C6: Strange tapping noise by Frank M.
Hi, A minute or two after starting my '07 coupe almost every time (or perhaps the first time of the day) I hear this tapping noise from the rear passenger side quarter. When my wife first heard it, she said that it sounded like a squirrel in the atic. It could also be described as three or four...

C6: Strange Tapping Noise, Revisited by Frank M.
There seems to be so little posting on this newsgroup, so I thought that I'd bring up an item that I first wrote on here about one month ago. about some light tapping noise heard from the rear passenger side. I now realize that it has happened only when I have had a passenger in the car, or when...

C6 Automatic: Shifting out of Park w/ Dead Battery by Frank M.
Just curious. The User's Manual for my '07 C6 w/ auto trans says that to shift out of Park when the engine isn't or won't run, pull on the shift lever slightly and just hit the Accesory button twice to pulse the tranny selector engagement switch. But what if there is no battery or a dead battery...
