Is there a market for used Goodyear Runflats? by
[email protected]
I have the Goodyear runflats on the rear of my 2000 Corvette--and
although they only have about 13,000 miles on them, the tread is
sufficiently worn that snow traction is a problem. I'm not even close
to the treadwear indicators, and if this was March, I would just plan
on not driving for a few...

C5 weatherstripping by
[email protected]
My 2000 C5 coupe is just past 50,000 miles, and the weatherstripping
where the rear of the left and right windows meet the removable top
looks like it isn't a very good seal. The car also has some wind
noise. (No surprise.) I can buy replacement weatherstripping from
Mid-America. What is...

studded tires and the C5 by
[email protected]
Winter is coming--and if last winter is any indication, I need a
solution. The Corvette was unable to leave the garage for three
months last year because of snow. We have paved our driveway (725
feet cost almost $14K), and this should help a bit, but from our
driveway to the nearest paved road is...

Tips on buying a Convertible Corvette by
cmaciel
Hello,
I am in search of a yellow convertible C5, 2001 to 2003, low
mileage. From the searches I did, it'll cost around 35 thousand in
general. Since I've never had a Corvette, I would like to get some
feedbacks on what to look when evaluating an used Corvette. Things
like problems that are well...

Hatchback by
[email protected]
I just acquired my first Corvette. It's an even cooler ride than I'd
imagined. I can't wait till it's fully broken in. In the meantime I
have to think about mundane stuff like loading my hatchback with
groceries. There's plenty of room, but I wonder how I'll keep the bags
stowed so that nothing...

Tire Recommend for '63 Split Window by
Codifus
I've got a restored '63 split window vette. It's been running on
Continental SportContact2 tires, but I'm unhappy with the road holding
of these tires.
Any recommendations for vettes of this era would be appreciated.

C3 Electrical Problem Continues by
coffee01
I replaced both the ground cables (battery and engine). Car runs great but
I still have the same problem. When I turn the car off All power goes out.
In a minute of two the car is fine and will start and run great. When I
stopped the car and had no power, I noticed that the tach does not...

1976 Front Wheel Bearing by
coffee01
I am a new corvette owner of a 1976. I have a clicking noise coming from
the right front wheel. Is this the wheel bearing? If so is there
anything special I need to know to replace the inner and outer bearing or
is it pretty straight forward as shown in the workshop manuals I have. Is
there...

C3 Positraction by
coffee01
Everything I have tells me not to use standard differential lubricant in
the positraction of my 76. The guy at the local parts store said that any
modern SAE 90 would be ok. Is that correct or do I need to find some
positraction oil somewhere? What makes it special?
Thanks

Green Brake Fluid by
coffee01
OK...I'm not crazy. I bought a 1976 Corvette and the brake fluid is green.
It is the color of antifreeze. I have looked around and find a fluid
called LHM that is green and is not compatible with DOT fluid. I bought
the car in a rural area and I don't think they would have had any exotic
brake...

Seat belt buzzer/light by
coffee01
Car is a 1976. The reminder buzzer for the driver's seat belt comes on
when the belt is buckeled. I had to disconect the wiring so I can wear
the belt. I tried to reverse the wiring but the buzzer still goes off
when the belt is buckeled. The fasten seat belt light stays on all the
time. Any...

C3 electrical problem by
coffee01
I own a 76 and yesterday I stopped at a store and when I came out the car
was dead. No electric at all, not even inside lights. In a few minutes
all the power came back. Got home and the same thing happened. Any ideas
as to problem?

Yes a Corvette is a status symbol by
[email protected]
The Corvette is a status symbol to those with high school diplomas, blue collar and lottery winners, who will park it in front of the bowling they bought with their winnings.
