Workshop manual Spider series 4 by Alfaspider
Hi fellow alfisti, A few weeks back I got access to a workshop manual for the spider series 3 (with the rubber spoiler) and series 4 spider. Unfortunately it was just on two-sided plain paper and it is no longer free available as far as I know. In the past weeks I've scanned it (almost 700 pages)...

Info on Alfa 166 2.5 year 2000 and 3.0 year 1999 by alfatechnician
Timing belt changes are at 72,000 miles (110,000 km) but it is a good idea to change well before (every 90,000 km)......Should cost less than 500 euros......Not many problems with these cars...........Check for blue smoke on the 1999 car when it starts up as this indicates high oil...

AR 166 by alfie
Just wondering if I should save myself £80.00 and replace my front bake pads myself on my 166. Is it as straightforward as I think it should be ? Is it easy to do the Rear pads as well ? Alfie

Alfa Romeo 156 alarm won't turn off problem by Alfie Norks
I have a 156 (X reg = 2000) and I tried to use it on the weekend only to find that both of my car keys don't seem to be able to turn off the car alarm. It's not the key batteries as the chance of both keys being dead at the same time is very slim - and the key lights come on when I press their...

Just a reminder by alfistagj
Spring is just around the corner, so a little reminder that now is the time to change the air in the tyres of our Alfa's. Old air results in inferior handling and higher fuel consumption and Alfa recommends air replacement every 20000 km or 12 months, whichever comes sooner. Although it...

Haynes verses Cardisc CD by alfistagj
What is different to make working on an Alfa "difficult". Alfa addict as I am I'll always praise the cars, but have never felt having to warn anyone for "difficulties" presumed the person has a basic car mechanic knowledge. If you don't have that, stay away from any car or be prepared to...
