aging tires by
doug
Sorry if this isn't exactly a Corvette question but it does relate to
tires. What is your thoughts on cars whose tires begin to crack on
the sidewalls due to age even when the tread is still pretty good?
One tire guy told me to prolong the life of the tire, use Armorall on
the sidewalls but I'm...

Blue Devil by
doug
I was reading an article about the Z07 with 7 liter supercharged
650bhp w/ 3 second 0-60mph and 200 + mph top end for around $100k
planned to come out in 2009. It's currently known as the Blue Devil
while it's a work in progress. Anyone know if this has any truth
all bs?

buying a used Corvette from Carmax by
doug
I don't have any experience with Carmax and wonder if it is a good or
bad idea to consider buying a used Corvette from them? Some of the
cars appear to be former lease cars and wonder if I should exclude
them from consideration? If it matters I'd probably consider under 10
year old Corvettes. ...

Remote keyless entry problem ('96) by
Doug Haxton
Hello all,
About 6 months ago, the battery died on my remote ('96 coupe).
Somehow, I never got around to replacing it, but I finally did so this
afternoon. I've been following the instructions in the manual, but
I'm having trouble. Here's what the manual says to do:
With the key in the "on"...

C5-C6 signal lights by
Doug McGowan
I recently upgraded my C5 to a C6 and noticed that the signal light on the
C6 is way to polite!! As soon as you touch the indicator the light flashes 3
times. The old (C5) signal only indicated when you touched the indicator.
Any thoughts on how this can be changed out?

douglas9
Have 1980 whose headlights open and operate correctly, but when i
attempt to turn off/close lights the left light will not close. By

Should i just replace the actuator or might it be something else. Any

trickle charger recommendations by
Doug[_12_]
I want to store a car with battery connected for perhaps a month or
two during winter. What is a good trickle charger to keep hooked up
on it to keep the battery from dying ? Will it matter if the battery
is not at full charge when I put it on? Since I never had one, do
they use alligator...

2001 Corvette door handle by
[email protected]
Have a couple questions. My 2001 Corvette convertible was broken in
to. They used a screwdriver to push in the lock on the drivers door.
I took it to a shop to get fixed but they wanted to charge me $1100 to
do the job. With high deductible and no money I would rather fix it
myself. I'm not...

Sorry for all the questions but I'm just trying to avoid mistakes and
learn from all of you (experienced owners).
I'm reading the edmunds.com corvette forum earlier today and wonder
how do you buy a corvette on line and out of state?
a) how do you pay if it's a cash transaction? Mail a full...

GM crisis ... and your thoughts buying a new Corvette now by
drb[_2_]
Seriously is it wise to buy a new Corvette now in the face of this
crisis? I'm not talking how good the deals are and I don't mean ANY
disrespect for the Corvette owners or such especially the ones who
have bought a new one recently. I realize no one has a crystal ball
to predict the future with...

I'm impressed, thankful and regretful by
drb[_2_]
I'm impressed after reading a lot of reviews on the C6. At first my
thought was either I'm reading a bunch of over enthusiastic owners
(over crazed) or it's one heck of a car. I'm beginning to believe
it's NOT over- enthusiastic owners after my wife's co worker and his
wife owned a C5. They...
