Assistance needed with Spider '91 hard top by
Dimitris
Dear all. I recently purchased a hard top for my 1991 spider (second hand).
Can someone please send me the schematics of the hard top asa I feel I am
missing various bits in order to secure it. Also it was impossible to put it
in place. (Partly due to my wind deflector). How does it get attached to...

Vibration using 156 air-con by
Dave Sparrow
2002 156 Selespeed
Very noticeable vibration when the air-con is switched on. In fact quite
annoying when at a standstill as you feel it really obviously through the
seat (and the steering wheel). Vibration completely vanishes when switched
off.
Any ideas as to what's wrong?
Thanks,

Bumpers AR 164 '92 by
Yoeri Gemeen
Where can I find other rear and front bumpers ?
NON-original prefered.
I find enough about the AR 156 & 147 but not for the
164.
Do I have to look for an other brand or type which holes
allmost match ? And customise them ? Or something alike ...

Not sure if this is a good thing or not.... by
Phil Sawyer
....but on Saturday night I called my usual taxi company to take me and the
current Mrs Sawyer home after an evening's liquid refreshment, and instead
of the usual Toyota Carina it was an Alfa 156 2.0TS!
The driver was shocked as I knew straight away how to open the rear doors
(apparently, most...

33 4x4B by
Ex Alfa Adam
I'm off to look at a 1991 8v 1.7 33 that is a 4x4B - not a p4. It is an
import to the UK from it's original home of Austria.
Is there anywhere that I can get a specification of this car? I've owned
both 8v and 16v 33s before, nearly bought a p4 but have never heard of a
4x4B which I understand...

Strange sound by
KoStAhR
Hello,
I have a question about my 146 1.9 TD. When I push the accellerator I hear a
strange sound. It sounds like fluid that is being pushed trough a tube
that's too narrow (squirting sound). The sound is located near the pedals.
Anyone got a clue what this sound could be?
Regards,
Trienco Koster

Alfa 156 2001 alarm deactivation in the UK? by
Bruce
Can anybody help?
Everything I have read suggests that you can't deactivate the alarm in the
UK because they don't give you the keys. But I am totally fed up with it.
Two keys have now broken (the bridge contact underneath the button). I
'fixed' one by removing the cover with a knife and using...

156 Veloce Clarion (black with green display) Radio Removal by
Zathras
How do I remove this from the dash without bending, breaking or
scratching anything?
I've got the black surround off (no great achievement) but the radio
has refused to budge. There's a metal tab at the top right hand corner
that looks like it might be a latch but it will not move and I don't
want...

Paul Woodsford
I have a 147 1.6TS Nov 2003 R hand drive.
With the recent heavy rainstorms I have water coming into the Front
passenger footwell via , it appears, the heater outlet.
Where is the water drain for the heater air intake situated?
I think this could be the cause although with the ferocity of some of...

Alfa Romeo Mechanic / Service? by
Brian Madden
Hello All,
I'm the new owner of a 1976 Giulia Nuova Super 1300. (My brother brought it
back with him after serving in the Navy in Italy.)
My question is about service. Where can I take this thing to be serviced? It
sounds like I have either a rear wheel bearing or U joint going bad, so I'd
like...

156 Gearbox "Sticky" by
Graeme Cosgrove
Fourth gear has started to get a bit "sticky". The gear can be selected and
unselected easily enough but it "feels" sticky...
....imagine all the other gears had a metal on metal kind of feel, but 4th
feels like there's a marshmallow stuck in the selector, and you get the
idea.
Any ideas?

Hi there,
This is actually 100,000km service question.
Does anyone have experience on using "non original" sparking plugs in order
to avoid enormous costs?
I just had on the phone Alfa Romeo auto mechanic telling me that there are
Champion sparking plugs that cost one third of the price of the...
