73 pushrod tubes by
[email protected]
when I pulled the engine, I found red silicone
on all pushrod tube o-rings. Red silicone between
barrels and the case.
Is this standard procedure on these engines? 1700cc
1972 bus.

Is there a resource online or otherwise that has seat upholstery patterns
for the beetle. Or an online source with a decent amount of options for seat

Anybody know the location of any good VW bone yards in the Southeast -
say in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia? I used to run across good
collections of classic VWs out in fields while driving in the country
years ago. These seems to be disappearing

Stereo theft by
Karls Vladimir Peña
Hi RAMVA!
Yesterday something really sad happened, someone broke into the 70 bug and
tried to steal the stereo. It was secured to the body with a metal bracket
and bolts, so they couldn't take it. But the damage to the dash is huge.

Does anyone know if you can replace the front tranny mount on a 1963 Beetle
without completely removing the engine and tranny from the frame? If so,
how would you go about it?
Thanks
