34PICT carburetor, Alternator clearance by
Dave G
I have a dual port 1600 on my beetle, and I want to use the stock 34PICT
carb with an alternator. Does anyone know where I can get the offset or
shim adapter plate for these? I've seen them before, but all anyone seems
to have now is the one to convert a 30PICT to dual port manifold.
I think some...

Tail Light Weirdness by
Guatebus
Long time lurker, first time poster...
I've got a '69 Transporter, originally imported into Central America.
In trying to sort out some wiring problems, I've discovered that the
wiring runs in this bus are different than the ones shown on the wiring
diagram in Bentley. I'm assuming that the...

I want: a commuter that can cruise a bit faster, maybe an occasional
burst to 70 mph. Disk brakes on front and dual master cylinder. Stock
looking exhaust. 12 volt.

Is fuel injection compatible with LPG? by
Earl Brown
I'm thinking of doing some experimenting with completely electronic
controls - even the valves - and while I'm at it, going propane for long
life.
Can't do fully electronic control with a carb, though, so I'm wondering if
FI is compatible with LPG.
Unless I'm wrong about the need for FI - maybe...

single carb + manifold into dual carb bus? by
[email protected]
I have 1973 1700cc engine in my bus
the carbs have problems. Missing
solenoids, stripped screw holes, etc.
I have an intake manifold + carb from
a 1600cc 1971 bus. I know that it is
in fine working order.
Can I put this single carb into the 73?

Rear Defogger Working (but not really) by
Juan
Ladies/Gents,
With the cold weather coming, I thought it would be a good idea to get
that rear defogger working on my 72 SB. After a quick search of this
group, I was able to determine that all is in working order. The
switch is good, the fuse is fine, the relay seems to work just fine and
the...
