Engine Idle Repair Help Needed by
[email protected]
I have a 1971 Super Beetle Autostick. I can't get it to idle right.
Today I messed with the carb, and it is running the best it ever has. I
had it up to 40mph and it felt like it was running strong. It wont
neccessarilly stay in idle unless you tap the gas often, or it will
stop. Here is a new...

Floor Pan replacement by
Richard A. Carter via CarKB.com
I am in the process of restoring my 74 Sunbug Convertable and am now at
replacing the rusted floor pans. Where can I find instructions that will take
me step by step in replacing them? I have looked in the Idiot Book and there
is nothing about how to do it in there. Thanks

$99,000 VW???? by
Dennis Wik
I just recieved Dec issue of Hemmings Sports and Exotic car magazine.
On page 110 they show the results of the pebble beach auction and what
the vehicles sold for. A 1966 westfalia unrestored in #3 condition
(average) sold for $99,000. They expected $8,000. It looks good but
seems weird to me. ...

scale for weighing by
Mike64Bug
Does anyone have a recommendation for a scale to weigh
pistons and such? There are quite a few small scales on
eBay that handle weights of 500-600 grams and are rather
cheap. Years ago I had access to an old style (but accurate)
triple beam scale and as I recall a scale with a 500 gram
capacity...

the fuses installed the signals are fine with the igniton just on (not
running) as are the brake lights, headlights, and reverse lights.
However as soon as you...

Vent on Side of Bus by
CMM
Anyone know what this vent was for? It's just behind the left door on
the side of my Type II. It goes all the way through to the interior
where it appears some sort of vent tube was attached at one time.
