Heater core link by
KWS
The '90 blew out it's heater core today. Someone posted an article showing
how to remove and replace the core without pulling the entire dash. I sure
would appreciate someone re-posting that link.
Thanks,
Ken

How to remove screw from hardtop? by
Grant Edwards
I had to remove the front latches from my hardtop so I could
replace the plastic "bullet points" that seat into the plates
at the top of the windshield. One of the latches came off and
went back on without a struggle, but the other was almost
impossible to remove. Two of the three screws just...

93 rx-7 question? by
wolfbane
Have a gas smell that's getting stronger since I 1st noticed it coming from
the engine a few weeks ago. I see no drips underneath the engin and the feul
gage *seems* to be on target for gas use. A new after market intake and
outtake was put in about a year 1/2 ago. Drives fine......What could it...

Best roll bar for head clearance? by
John McClary
Hi folks,
I posted this same question on Miata.net, but I'd like to get some input
from this board too.
I've read several threads on the topic of rollbars, but I'm hoping to find a
more definitive answer.
I want a roll bar (not style bar), but am concerned about knocking my melon
on it all the...

Lube Slow Windows by
Diane
I don't know what lube to use on the channels the edges of the power windows
slide up against. I have white lithium spray and a silicone spray. Does it
matter? How about WD-40? Thanks.

Rear main seal question by
Jack Dannenberg
Laying under the car I put the rear main seal in. But the seal went in
beyond the surface of the crankcase. From the end of the crank to the outer
surface of the seal is 8mm. The sealing lip is 7mm past that for a total
distance of 15mm. Does anyone know how long the crank surface is? The...

How long will my battery last? by
Scott Streeter
I have a 2000 with the original battery still (4 1/2 years). I drive
my car all year long so it's not sitting at all. Just wondering if I
should be pro-active and change it now so I can avoid getting stuck
becaues this would be the time period it would go considering the age
and heading into...

I expect they were original, but I bought the car second hand. All
the '91 SE's I've seen have had the gold.

Window mechanism question by
Don Benton
As a result of being heavy-handed, and not taking the thing apart and
lubing it properly, the window crank on the driver side stopped
working. After dragging out Rod's manual (God, I hate trying to find
something in there), I disassembled the door enough to notice that the
top riser cable to the...

Fading Clutch? by
Peter Murphy
My '91 Miata now has 226k kilometres on the clock and recently I've noticed
that when I hit the gas peddle in fourth or fifth gear the engine responds
fine but the car doesn't accelerate accordingly. Does this mean that the
clutch is worn and should be replaced? Is there any other way of checking...

I know nothing about blue lights by
Jon and Cindy
I've just got a 90 MX-6 for commuting and, this being the only Mazda ng,
I'll ask to trouble you for a few questions.
I'm replacing one of the headlights and would like a little more depth. Do
the blue bulbs work? If you've had experience with them, which brand/type to
use? I've heard some pull...

Screetching sound when battery dead by
Gary
When my battery is low and recharging, I get a screeching sound that stops
when I get up some speed. When I come to a stop and startup again, the sound
returns. This keeps happening for a few days and once the battery is fully
charged, no more screeching sound. What are the possibilities?

tyre recommendation by
AdrianR
Anyone got a recommendation for new tyres for my mx18? The current tyres
came with the car when new and are Michelin 195/50R15 82V. I live and drive
year round in the north of England, so they will have to cope with some
snow.

Insurance and wrecked Mazdaspeed by
Chuck Aydlette
My 2 month old MS Miata was sandwiched between a Blazer and F150 while
sitting in traffic. The truck slammed my rear and pushed me into the
rear of the Blazer. No injuries, the truck's airbags deployed and
mine did not. Is it possible to get paid for depreciation above the
cost of repairs? It...

Anyone out there own three or more Miatas in thier lifetime? Just
