Things That Make Ya Go "Hmm..." by
Scott en Aztlán
The very same week that oil company executives are getting grilled by
Congress, gas prices at the pump have fallen precipitously from their
peak last summer.
Coincidence?

Good/Bad by
Thomas Avery
A neighbor's son is with the State Patrol. Last Saturday we had a BBQ and
during the evening I asked about traffic violators in general. Sgt. B told
me in his opinion the worst drivers were young, white females. 2nd were
young black males, 3rd were "soccer moms". A surprise was that he felt...

Licensed in WA, got ticket in CA ?? by
Patti
Does anyone know if if is possible to keep 'points' off my record in WA
after a speeding ticket in CA? I called WA DOL, and the answer I
received was, "If it is reported to us as a conviction, then it will go
against your record. If it is reported to us as a 'dismissal' because
you attend traffic...

Radar Detector RX7000 by
GK
Can Anyone tell me if the PNI Traveller RX7000 Radar Detector is a
good unit. I found one on EBAY Brand new for $58.50 and was wondering
if it was a good price for this battery operated radar detector.. ?
Thanks

Something that will seat 7? by
[email protected]
I'm trying to find the impossible. My sister-in-law has 5 daughters,
between 3 and 8. Car seats are a necessity, and so is a bit of extra
passenger space. Most of the extra cargo can go into a Thule rack on
the roof or something, and the rest of the options we can take or
leave.
Oh, except it...

Finally!!! by
necromancer
The FL DOT has finished that bridge over the St. Marys River and opened
it to vehicular traffic. Now I don't have to be bothered with taking the
"slowbird expressway," (I-95) when I go to J-ville and points south.

Hummer Driver Gets Shot by
Scott en Aztlán
Dateline: Anaheim
KTLA reports that a Hummer driver took a bullet in the leg in yet
another SoCal freeway shooting. Shooting a "psychpathic gas-waster"
sounds like something Aunt Judy would do...

today's stereotype by
Dave
So, I was at Vons today and was hit by a shopping cart. No joke. I
was reaching for some cola on the bottom shelf and a middle aged Asian
woman on a cell phone pushed her cart right into me. As soon as I
realized this I started laughing.
In full disclosure, I live in a very Asian neighborhood,...

No Clutch Shifting? by
[email protected]
Hello all;
A guy from work drove my truck (88 F350 5 speed) at lunch with me as a
passenger. I've always been a bit clumsy with a stick shift but he
flew through the gears smooth as silk. I noticed he never touched the
clutch except for coming to a stop and getting moving from a stop. All
other...

So, its true..... by

More proof that traffic laws as currently written and traffic
enforcement have absolutely nothing to do with traffic safety and
everything to do with robbing a sheeple public who will do nothing...

LLBs getting their due? by
DTJ
Now that I am experimenting with driving nearer the speed limit, I am
seeing a lot more things I never had time for. In addition to the
increase in people who try to kill me by driving in my lane, I am now
seeing cops pull over people for driving in the left lane. I saw
three such events today on...

MFFY of the day by
DTJ
I was waiting for my wife to pick up some things in a local food
store, when I noticed a car pull in to an empty space. Note that
there were empty spaces all over. Yet she felt it necessary to park
in her spot and in the one to her right. Note that there was a little
white pick-up truck in that...

The "Paris Hilton Solution" to LLBs by
Scott en Aztlán
I'm sure you've all seen the news reports by now. From this point
forward, I'll be looking for a silver Bentley with front-end damage to
drive behind on the freeway, knowing that the driver will simply plow
a path through all the LLBs for me. ;)

A couple recent sightings. by
Brent P
First, driving along I94 just before it branches off to I894, there is a
slowdown. I wonder what's going on. I see a police SUV on the left
shoulder.... something about 'highway effeciency' or something painted on
the side along with the sherif logo. I pass by it, in my mirror I see the
front end...
